[Quizás este erizo no sabe nadar, ¡Pero si que sabe manejar!

Sonic solía correr para derrotar al Dr. Eggman; pero una vez la muerte llegó al malvado inventor, no había razones para correr más allá de "porque sí". Hasta que una extraña invitación lo metió al mundo de las carreras de autos.

Al inicio corría por sí mismo, aun logrando vencer a todo auto que se interpusiera en su camino. Lamentablemente, un accidente en plena carrera lo hizo perder su famosa velocidad (del cual sigue recuperándose), volviéndolo dependiente de un automóvil como el resto de participantes.

Seguido de su fiel compañero a motor, Sonic tenía una vida bastante cómoda pero emocionante... y la seguiría teniendo de no ser por el tiempo detenido.

Esta catástrofe sólo le había hecho pensar lo peor: Tal vez Eggman no está muerto, y en realidad estuvo creando una máquina capaz de manipular el espacio-tiempo para dominarlo todo. 

Si era así, sólo conocía a una persona capaz de detenerlo nuevamente, y era él mismo. ]

Unas cuantas almas a lo largo de las galaxias pueden y deberán moverse contra esta fuerza, con muchas preguntas y pocas respuestas. Eventualmente, se encontrarán los unos a los otros, obligados a unir fuerzas contra ello.

¿Quién le dará fin a esta pausa eterna? ¿Quién llegará a conocer... a él?
