exit planet earth by 20/20 Vision is a new series of various artist vinyl releases, selected and compiled by ralph lawson. There is a truly heavy weight selection of artists involved in the project and the first edition ‘carbon’ leads with contributions from two of the most influential electro producers of all time The Hacker and 214, who both deliver unforgiving hard hitting excursions to future worlds. On the other side Reedale Rise sheds some light with ‘Lux’ before the record is beautifully closed with an uplifting composition for space travel - ’The Gap’ by Derek Carr. Artwork is supplied in a collectible series of spectrographs in limited edition spot colour sleeves.

Presence Unknown is a vinyl and digital label curated by longtime producer and DJ, Neil Keating aka Controlled Weirdness. Neil has been behind the decks and deeply involved in all aspects of club and underground sound system culture since the early Eighties. He has released his music on numerous underground labels and performed all over the world, from plush clubs to dirty warehouses. Worth a read are a couple of published articles by Neil regarding his experiences on the dance floor of underground clubs in London and New York in the Eighties. See links at the bottom of this page for these as well as a detailed biography and discography. There is also a link to a recent 40-minute interview with Distant Planet TV that explores his cultured rave history.  

The third release on Presence Unknown contains four slamming tunes, crafted with precision by Controlled Weirdness using a variety of analogue and digital machines in his South London studio. The A-side features some deep and bass heavy electro acid for the dance floor. "Ghosts of the Heygate" and "Running on Empty" feature rolling 808 boom with 303 groove. The flip side starts off with "Are you angry or are you boring?" a future-retro rave anthem with lately bass and killer mentasm stabs and has been destroying dance floors on dub during Controlled Weirdness’ DJ sets the past six months. The EP closes with, "Strange Desires", a slow, sleazy, slinky and salacious groove. Music from the margins. Presence Unknown.

The necromantic antibeats is the first longplayer by DJ WEB (Walid El Barbir). Repetitive and funky drum-compositions contradict vocal samples resembling horror, suffering, pain and malady, combining both into very playful compositions which contain seductive joy and the ill depths of mankind (hell) at the same time. Dead poems for the eager & the lost evoking forgotten potentials through ritualistic repetitions.

In the winter of 2020, the excellent sounds of four artists will be released on the newly established "fukuinn" label from Japan.
In A1, there is a Chicago-like killer track by Japan's leading acid master Humandrone. Sound Synthesis, which releases many works from various European labels, plays an atmospheric electro track on A2.
Cool and Frank can be listened to on the B1 with their unique and minimal electro. B2 track with awesome machine sounds by viewtiful joe, the forefront of the next-generation electro scene.
It is a gorgeous release with no lost tracks and will be released on vinyl only.
