Cologne based collective Laut & Luise is happy to present you its first release. Right on time with summers peak coming, Berlins Dürerstuben made two tracks perfectly fitting to the running season: Sonnenblut am Platz der Perlen (A1) combines the gloomy atmosphere of the last winter and the warm feeling of todays sun to create an absolutely outstanding piece of music. Tira Mi Su (A2) eases up on the tempo to let you catch a breath and enjoy the day with some hip-house, as the two guys call it. Last but not least our dear friend Constantijn Lange provides us with a more fast paced version of Sonnenblut am Platz der Perlen (B1), giving it a more clubby appeal without losing the vibe of the original track.

Qtier is Adam and Howard, two London-based electronic musicians who make beautiful, captivating music for the city. Having announced their arrival earlier this year with the massive Still EP, now they’re back with The Cards, a stunning collection of tracks set for release on BPitch Control, the prestigious Berlin electronic label responsible for releases from Apparat, Modeselektor and it’s esteemed label boss Ellen Allien.  For Qtier, The Cards EP is about control, adoration and perception, all viewed through the prism of what electronic music means to them.

It’s the collision of Adam’s breathtaking, tender vocals, and Howard’s forward thinking electronics that makes this outfit’s sound so remarkable. With both members coming from such diverse musical places, the marriage of their differences creates a unique union of genuine, heartfelt songwriting with exceptional production.  The first offering from Qtier became an instant sensation, with big support coming from BBC 6 Music, The Fly and XFM, marking them out as a band on the verge of something very special.

Adding drums to the live line-up, their first ever outing was a mesmerizing performance at a now infamous house party in South London. Since then, 2013 saw the band have play to packed crowds at a string of unusual spaces; receiving lavish praise from Time Out for their masterful live interpretations of their studio productions.

"I love Christian's work so I was totally into the idea of swapping remixes for our albums. The only problem was that when I listened to his album I found a lot of ideas that grabbed me. So I asked for stems for 3 different tracks, and started with some experiments to see which might lend itself best to a remix, which turned into two finished pieces in the end. 
The first was a remix of Vind, which I started by layering Prophet chords over Christian's riff and chopping up the vocals into fast repeating units. It was one of those tracks that just seemed right to me without any percussion or detailing, I wanted to focus in on the harmonies and leave it at that, just creating progression with an ever increasing opening and layering of the elements."
