It was made using 6 drum samples and won a little competition in the infamous 'Strictly Lofi' group on facebook. I guess it wasn't lofi enough to be signed but happy that it found a great home now on this double cassette celebrating 6  1/2 years of @noorden

There was a jigsaw sprawled dismantled across the floor, the pieces were in parts. A thousand dotted pieces each with a formative place in a story waiting to be built. The empty house was quiet during the summer holidays, board games were all that they had to keep themselves entertained. It was an old haunted mansion, busy with the rush and bubble of spirits and ghosts... It was a magnificent puzzle in itself, yet one which you'd not be inclined to explore. In the middle of the countryside, it was easy to become lost. 

Up next on a label very close to home, Insult To Injury, is an EP from Type 303. A rave inspired release drawing upon elements of hardcore and acid, as banging as ever and as destructive on the dancefloor as they come. Here is a remix from Japanese producer Shun, one to watch, as he reworks the lead track 'Thousand Pieces' into bits.

pH 1 is a Danish producer and also a reference to the influences of his production style, Acid. Palying music at a young age, he was influenced by the sounds of UK House, Break Beat and elements of acid jazz. His track 'Make Your Reality' is an ambient electro track with break beat percussions, aquatic like chords and soothing melodics with an acid twist.

Prolific Dutch producer Boris Bunnik wears several hats: Conforce, Silent Harbour and Vernon Felicity, but some of his most exciting music is produced under the Versalife alias where he delves deep into the electro sound. He makes his debut here for Leeds institution 20/20 Vision with "Machine Life", taking the classic electro sound further but with a modern twist. 

We're going deep underwater on the moody title track, before coming up for air via the soulful android funk of "MO5". On the flip, the eerie dystopian themes continue on the sombre "Monospace" and the seething reductionist electro-bass of "Axion".
