Shared Dialogue - FH HF together with Buttechno. Shared Dialogue is monthly show on Mutant Radio curated by FH HF, where the conversation weaves the common thread of words and sounds as a result of engaging with presence and integrity.
Having achieved certain recognition with his dancefloor-oriented project Buttechno, the Berlin-based artist is currently focused on sonic experiments and artistic collaborations under his birth name. Pavel Milyakov uses his work as a means to acknowledge the true historic and cultural context, delving into sociopsychological issues that haunt the society, and addressing memory — both collective and individual — and its potential to change our visions of the future.

Shared Dialogue - FH HF together with Buttechno [07.04.2023]

We first discovered Yssue (real name Dima Nekrotkov) through "The Laughing Gas" EP which came out on Stevie Whisper's label YES back in 2020 — it's a percussive workout we haven't stopped playing ever since. His subsequent releases on respected labels like KUMP, Private Persons, and Global Warming have only cemented our interest in Yssue's Swiss knife production approach and truly authentic sound. His music is loosely framed but we can safely describe it as a twisted bass-heavy hybrid, infused with a punkish attitude, rhythmic juggling, and a pinch of beautiful harmonies in between.

Apart from being a talented DJ and producer, Dima is also an incredibly gifted sound designer, always open to new projects and collabs.

Escape Route Podcast: Yssue

The week before Fields RS starts in Belgrade, Andrey Morozov invited Serbian Walkman alchemist Vladimir Lenhart aka Lenhart Tapes to his left/fields show on TESTFM. Short about Lenhart from The Wire: “Lenhart operates between tape turntablism, improvisation and live performance, often with traditional Balkan singers. Of late, he closely works with ethnomusicologist and violinist/vocalist Tijana Stanković, who – as she says over this joint call – enjoys “the juxtaposition between the filthy noise coming from the tape recorder and these gentle, beautiful songs.” 

His latest release to date, "Duets", keeps on a cheerful and noisy immersion into the traditional motifs by revisiting the loops and using the guest vocals, including Svetlana Spajić, a musician, ethnographist, and a curator of Fields RS.

"It is my choice of Balkan finest music in 2023, many of the artists are my collaborators that I am working with, some of them are just pearls that I am fan of. Various genres: from impro, local traditions, to metal, punk and electro underground". ~ Vladimir talks on this mixtape.

Festive season special podcast from Beau Wanzer himself. Just wanted to thank you all for the great 2015 we had. Enjoy!

Beau Wanzer grew up moving between the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Dressed in black the teenage Wanzer would brave the deep southern heat visiting record stores to purchase CDs with the most whacked out album covers. This methodology led him to the works of Skinny Puppy, Sleep Chamber, Absolute Body Control and a host of other industrial, noise and punk bands. Whilst Wanzer played guitar in bands for over eight years he bought his first synthesiser, a Roland Juno-6 at the end of the 1990s and began creating his own synth music. A short while later he moved to Chicago to study molecular biology and began working at Weekend Records & Soap in 2001. It wasn’t until a couple of years later that he began to consider the possibility of releasing his music following a friendship with Melvin Oliphant III, a.k.a. Traxx. The two recorded music together as Mutant Beat Dance and Wanzer’s first solo piece, ‘F.U. Klaxon’ came out on Traxx’ Nation record label in 2008. Wanzer participates in frequent collaborations exploring various aspects of noise and sound, for example creating rhythmic techno as Civil Duty with Sean O’Sullivan and somewhat raucous synth & electro with Elon Katz under the Streetwalker moniker, a project which saw the release of an album on Cititrax in 2013. Wanzer has released a variety of music under his own name across labels such as L.I.E.S. Russian Torrent Versions and his own imprint BW, secreting grotty synth and drum machine workouts, not quite techno, not quite punk but scuzzy mutant hybrids of the two. Wanzer released his debut album on BW in October 2014. Music for the lost and the damned and those that want to be.
