Mix recorded on a ‘remote island inside of a cubic ancient house, inspired by its stillness, architecture, cracks, The method of construction of this house came from a popular wisdom that was transmitted from generation to generation, pursuing subsistence and practicality. It was this practicality, together with simplicity, the functionality of each element and its integration into the landscape, which inspired about this unique archaic architecture… so just like that I build some structure around it, while using field recordings, archival sounds and songs from different artists.

Happiness is always a coincidence. Even in the moments, when it sounds like a result of hard work, diligence, perseverance and good luck. But long story short: only the coincidence has helped POTROX to become a DJ. 

Back in 2010, he saw his brother using a software for mixing two tracks together. And it has changed the life totally. A nightclub at the school's gym, DJ mixes on the Web, small private parties in his hometown Khrustalnyi - all in all, die is cast. 

Later on moving to Kharkiv and joining "Kultura Zvuku" community have had a decisive influence on POTROX's music taste and career. 
In 2022 he's created "REJOICED" - a vinyl-only podcast series with showcases in Kyiv's clubs and interviews with diggers, DJs and producers like Ben Boe, RRRKRTA, Walrus, David Fogarty & Riccardo Piazza in the season 1, which had been broadcasted on Gasoline Radio

"This mix contains unreleased music I’ve written over the last two/three years. Some from my forthcoming album on !K7 and Aus Music – which is out soon – and also tracks from forthcoming EP’s on Andy Hart’s Voyage Recordings and Cab Drivers’s Eclipser Chaser.

Initially I had planned to record my LP in a blended, uninterrupted fashion, but decided against it for numerous reasons. It was great to get the opportunity to do this mix – to blend a good chunk of the LP tracks, along with some of the more club-orientated tracks I’ve also got coming out soon.
