Thundersandwich, a progressive funk-rock act hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, are proponents of a single ethos, “to have fun and be fun.” The four-piece has developed a following based on its electric live performances and immediate, danceable tunes. Paired with a disparate background in funk, psych, and heavy metal, with a heavy dose of electronics, it is equal parts unpredictable and familiar. At any moment, Thundersandwich is capable of shifting grooves on a dime, from upbeat dance music to the “sort of country music made on Mercury.”

With a sound big enough to fill theaters and a groove tight enough to send packed basements into a gyrating frenzy, the band is known for marathon performances and deep, extended grooves. The band is currently playing shows in support of its first LP, "When Hunger Strikes", and dazzling audiences throughout Nebraska.
