I had the honor of composing the score for Finding Home in 2013. The documentary is a feature length exposition of the injustice we call modern day slavery. Trafficking of persons happens in nearly every nation in the world, but Finding Home narrows the focus down to the stories of 3 women living in Cambodia. My good friend (and the director of the film) Derek Hammeke spent quite a bit of "non-agenda" time with these women and their families over the years and eventually decided to tell their story, documenting their lives and their varying roads to wholeness and recovery. This film absolutely puts a face to an issue - it personalizes what all of us have become so desensitized to.

It's been an absolute privilege and joy to tell these stories and to write this music. These songs, more than any I've ever written, come from a deeply connected place.

Spotlight Infiltration - Synth Tests - Nothing to see here

This is my interpretation of Hans Zimmer's track "Destiny's Door", which I have called "Destiny".

I used the percussion, vocal and (parts of) the synth stems to create the foundation of this track. The harmonic guitar line introduced at the beginning assimilates the ticking of a clock in a nod to the title 'Destiny' and a heavy cello/contrabass line drives the track.

Guitar was played on a classical guitar and all other instrumentation performed using Quantum Leap's Symphonic Orchestra.
