‘Breathe’ was written when I was in a pretty dark headspace. I wrote it to try and portray what it was like to go from living with anxiety every day and trying to manage regular panic attacks, to finally feeling like you have control over your mental state again.

If you ever thought that our podcast series with all the recording from The Monastery Festival was finished then let us surprise you with this gem of set by the amazing Ali Farahani.

This set is very close to our hearts. It was the first time Ali joined our family. We gave him an early morning opening set of the mainstage. This time is challenge for any musician. You need to find the delicate balance between slowly waking up the crowd as well as getting them in the mood for yet another beautiful day ahead. 

He killed it.
We recall that we woke up from this incredible selection of tracks not immediately know who was performing at the time. He will be back. Not on an opening hour but somewhere somewhen we can shine a light on this incredible star.
