L-Lucre aka L, aka New Yorker. Is A San Diego Based Hip Hop/Rap Artist, who was born In the Bourough of Manhattan New York, New York. At age 9 His Mother Viviana Ivette Ortiz Moved Him to Provo, Utah, along with His Older Brother David QOne Quinones and his now deceased grandmother "Rest In Peace Ines Rodriguez Born: Dec. 30 1914 Died: Feb. 10 1996. Just one Day Before Luis Lucre`s Day of Birth. The lost of his Grandmother really took its toll on Luis, so did what most young fatherless teenge kids did. Hit the streets in search of a love that only he knew would fulfill his empty space within his heart. Music and the life of a Rap Star or artist such as 2Pac, Big Pun, Nas and Dmx, Dr. Dre Snoop and many more. Had a huge influence on the life style L chose to live. As the years passed, of being in and out of youth detention centers,work crew camps, and on juvenile probation. Luis was unable to finish High school but got his GED in JAIL! So the law breaking reblious way continued to follow L like a black shawdow filled with fear and self doubt. When L Turned 18 he moved from Provo Utah to Salt Lake City, Utah. To the Rose Park Area. Were He began to sharpen his craft and gift of rythme.. Hanging out and freestyling at local open mics at clubs in the downtown Salt Lake City area. House parties is were New Yorker was born "So To Speak" Being new to the area L decided to make his image EAST COAST... even though he could flow in many other styles he went with what helped him survive. The Wild Wild West that is The Valley of Salt Lake County. Considering himself a man stuck in the middle and to avoid being to deep into any gang affilation. And by him being from N.Y.C originally he used the fact that GANGS at the time were more of a West Coast thing. This kept him from getting jumped into any local gangs but he was also able to earn the Street respect he deserved. Drinking and partying and flowing and cyphering in the early 2000`s with many well known local artist in the 801 area today. Such As SavvyYola and Coleone From the Commission. Lam of Self expressions music..Mz Malicious Of Sick Lake records/Staxx N WAXX Muzik Just to name a few. Recently L moved out to sunny San Diego were he now lives with his mother of his child and his 2 1/2 year old daughter. Feeling the pressure from being layed of from his job and lack of any college degree, Luis began to souls search and pray on his next move.. 3 Years after leaving Salt Lake City 3 years of no music, took its toll on the Luis mindstate. You see music is L`s Passion, his love, his medicine, his outlet...So nowadays L is working on putting together his 1st self released offical album while collecting unemployment!!...So for now enjoy some of L`s music to get a small taste of L-Lucre`s great music. Trust when I say...He has more in Store.. Keep your eye's and ears open!!
