Once there was a caterpillar crawling on a leaf.
He was very hungry and he liked to eat and eat.
*First he ate an apple, then he ate some pears.
And changed into a chrysalis and went to sleep, to sleep.

verse2: First he ate some plums, then he ate some strawberries.

verse3: First he ate some oranges, then he ate some chocolate cake, an ice cream cone, a pickle, Swiss cheese, salami, a lollipop, cherry pie, a sausage, a cupcake, watermelon, and a nice green leaf.

When he woke up from his sleep, it was a brand new day.
He nibbled a hole, and pushed his way out … and the butterfly flew away!

closely based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, with an edit for accuracy: A moth caterpillar builds a cocoon (protective casing spun from silk), but a butterfly caterpillar becomes a chrysalis (stage of the life cycle made of hardened protein). As for other iffy scientific details, I guess this caterpillar was not a picky eater!

Everybody farts! It’s totally normal, no need to be formal.

Once in a while you get that funny feeling in your belly.
You try to find a bathroom ‘cause you know this could get smelly.
But sometimes you don’t manage to make it there in time.
So you let one rip in the bathroom line…

Everybody farts! Some call it passing gas, some call it flatulence.

All a fart is is just some air in a bubble.

I'm a preschool teacher in NYC who wrote 26 songs in 26 weeks, and then kept on writing :)

**update Dec 2025: Since 2020 I've been releasing children's music with my husband, Ryan Bagg, as Paper Bagg Band!
