Everybody farts! It’s totally normal, no need to be formal.

Once in a while you get that funny feeling in your belly.
You try to find a bathroom ‘cause you know this could get smelly.
But sometimes you don’t manage to make it there in time.
So you let one rip in the bathroom line…

All a fart is is just some air in a bubble.
So how does something so small cause so much trouble?
You hold it in until you can’t hold it anymore.
Until finally you have to let it roar…

Everybody farts! Even deep sea divers, and race car drivers.

What was I thinking when I ate all those rice and beans?
And why did I follow that with 3 scoops of ice cream?
Well now I have no choice but to go with the flow.

Everybody farts! Even the kings and queens, even Bruce Springsteen.
Everybody farts! Even a warthog, even a guard dog.

I wrote this in 2008/2009 right after my husband started working out of town for several weeks at a time.  It's very inspired, and was described by a songwriter in Nashville as a "cosmic valentine."  :)  I would love to redo this with sync in mind - and find someone to produce it.
