Ushering in two far reaching forces in the Australian dance music scene, Kate Miller (@katemiller) and Emelyne (@emelyne-khor), hitting the waves b2b with an improvised and amicable dub bound turned dance battle, ahead of what is sure to be an iconic set at tomorrow’s D-Street Studio Party at the Sydney Opera House as part of VIVID Sydney, along side Mad Miran (NL) and Piezo (IT). 

Both Emelyne and Kate are bold and emphatic selectors, with well earnt badges as ‘music chameleons’, delivering wide-ranging sets which move with fluidity between UK-inspired sounds, bombastic broken beat, forward-thinking rhythmic productions, booming dub, drum and bass, IDM and footwork.

elisethere offers a selecta accompanied by a dubsiren. Her sounds range from the roots of the 90s to the digital, dub and stepper of the 2000s. She creates an atmosphere rooted in both Jamaican reggae and more contemporary English dub.

This mix has ended up being a pretty sentimental one for me.
