dark melancholy indie pop project of singer-songwriter Alice Deville

Sacha Ketterlin is a Berlin-based sound artist and the creative mind behind @Higher-Resonance and @Intumi. 

Born in Switzerland and raised in France, he has been living in Berlin since 2008. Classically trained in piano, he is now known for his absorptive, richly textured electronic sounds created with modular synthesizers. 

Strongly influenced by techno and rave culture, he went on to dive deeply in the electronic music scene, organizing techno parties and Ambisonic events with live performance in focus.

Sonorous musical pieces performed  by the synthesists Amanda Chang and Paulo Motta.
The term "sonorous-musical" indicates a compositional action related to both the electronic sonorities - to the sound design or to the sound synthesis itself - and to the musical composition, both performed in real time. We avoid as much as possible any kind of aesthetic antecedents, since our intention was to record the performance of our gestures applied to electronic devices, both to synthesizers and to the mixer, the latter destined, above all, to the control of volume levels and spatiality.
We place ourselves as our only commitment to make a temporary suspension of our tastes in relation to the sonorities that would eventually arise during the process of synthesis in real time, or, more accurately, to the relatively constant transformations of timbres, rhythms and textures.
The material recorded subsequently went through audio editions, as well as minor technical adjustments related to the equalization and mixing, but always with the care of not to compromise the performances like executions in real time.
It is interesting to note that the context of the performances demanded of us a "multi-dimensional / perceptual multidimensionality", so to speak, notably due to the fact that sound creation, particularly relative to timbres, called for constant  attention to interactions, overlaps and sequentialities.
From our point of view, our project resulted in a sonorous work impregnated with timbres, textures and musically visceral and forceful rhythms (rhythmic pulses) which, in turn, created a predominantly dramatic sound atmosphere in aesthetic and expressive terms, in which "the compositional script itself [was, par excellence,] the object of experimentation." After the end of the recordings, a strong feeling came to us that we approached, at least during the creative process involved, to the perceptual experience of sounds as life forms in permanent transformation. Electronic sounds is a life form and never remains the same.
