Bust One ft. Metric Man (2Beeps Remix)

Kind of a mishmash of different styles and influences, Tweaked is the grittiest track on the EP. The wobble synth is actually from my little PO-14 synthesizer, which looks like a little calculator if you've never seen one. There's a lot of samples from scratch records in this and I also tried to give a little nod to Prodigy during the bridge.

Tweaked

Roughly translated as "agitare che culo" in Italian, Shake That Ass has the clearest messaging of any song I've made. This track is the most 80's of the bunch, and apart from the obvious screeching bass synth, it also features a pretty sweet timbale solo by your's truly.

Steel drums swell in a dreamy haze on this colorful collaboration between myself and Doctor Robert. With vaporwave and neo-psychedelia influences, Heaven Knows is an experimental-pop field trip.

An emotional and stylistic departure from my dance music oeuvre, this is the first song to feature my vocal stylings, and my first collaboration with multimedia artist Doctor Robert.

This EP takes its name from the title track "Little Lights", which I originally released years ago. The tracks are very similar, all sharing dreamy melodies married to downtempo beats and melodic bass. It's relaxed and cool, whimsical but grounded, childlike without being childish. Of course I see myself in those descriptions, and I’m proud to show a side of myself that isn’t lasers and smoke machines. While I’ve thought about having “this sound” be branded as a different artist name, I think both are me, so both are 2Beeps. Please enjoy and share!

2Beeps (Matt Verzola) established himself in the electronic music scene with releases for Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records and Atrak’s Fool’s Gold Records. What followed was the creation of 2Beeps Records, debuting with a tribute to 90’s breaks music and Miami Bass, the “Shake That Ass EP” followed by the dreamy and downtempo “Little Lights EP”, a release that’s more personal than the dance floor music of his past.
