Nuno Costa comenzó sus incursiones en la música electrónica en 2008 con su apodo Sinner, y con él creó Warface, un grupo y promotor local centrado en el dubstep, el drum 'n' bass y el garage británico. En 2013 puso en marcha su nuevo proyecto, VIL, centrándose principalmente en la música techno, electro, breaks y house. Su EP debut llegó a principios de 2015, cuando el sello portugués Extended Records lo eligió para un lanzamiento. Poco después, lanzó en el sello "Faut Section" de Lewis Fautzi y en el legendario sello techno Synewave New York, dirigido por Damon Wild. El gusto refinado y la capacidad de construcción de escenarios de VIL ya le han valido un lugar en algunos de los mejores clubes del país, entre los que se incluyen Lux Frágil, Gare y Ministerium, y también es una presencia habitual en muchos de los festivales del país. Avance rápido hasta 2018, donde junto a los artistas portugueses Temudo y menosdois, crea Hayes, un colectivo enfocado en mostrar la producción distintiva de sus artistas a través de lanzamientos digitales y de vinilo. Contando ya con tres ediciones en vinilo desde sus inicios, su música ya ha sido tocada por los más grandes artistas de la escena.

For our 147th FrenzyPodcast we invited the Berlin-based vinylhead, Kyly. Kyly is a lover of the 2000's tribal sound - anything with bongos, loose percussion & tribe vocals will surely fit his record bag as he believes this sound to make for the hottest dancefloors.

Being gifted a darbuka (turkish drum) & a guitar by his father sparked his interest in rhythm and percussion at an early age. Later introduced to techno music and the concept of Dj'ing by his friends, he started to gain more and more interest in techno and the culture surrounding it. It wasn't until he switched to vinyl and started discovering the sounds of 2000's legends like Chris Mccormack, Mark Williams and Mark Broom though, that his interest developed into a deep passion.

Today Kyly is obsessed with the warmth and unique charackter of early 2000's tribal / techno. It's the rhythm, the joy and the instinctiveness of that era he's truly in love with. Constantly refining his skills & his record collection, Kyly hopes to convey his joy of music to the people listening; creating a vibe that is colorful, cheerful and interactive.

Today we present you the 72nd FrenzyPodcast, with Schimmer Records resident Phil Berg in the mix. Phil is relatively new to the scene, but managed to already make a name for himself with very strong releases on Autonome Records (solo release) and his recent EP ‘Facial’ on Schimmer Records which can be described, as driving, hypnotic and rolling.

For Frenzy Phil created a one-hour mix in which he lifted up the pace a bit. He used unreleased tracks from upcoming talents which he mixed with some of his all time 90’s favorites. Buckle up for this hip mover, enjoy!
