"Working within the constraint that the speakers are treated as separate entities, these tracks position sounds either on the right or the left; everything is hard-panned. This transforms the two speakers into distinct physical objects rather than a merged sound source.
With “tekkonkinkreet” gr_ip, of heartcore duo AA4K, reflects his personal journey over the last 27 years and how his emotions and rational understanding of experiences became estranged speakers to him and themselves in different times.
Speaker A (left in the audio file) represents past disturbances and a state of discontinuity, fear and pressure, not being able to fully perceive and process, while speaker B (right in the audio file) reflects on his current self in a safe environment. “tekkonkinkreet” aims to bring those, through a time-intense process divided, personas back together and sets up an environment for dialogue between them."
