I Had a Debt

1. In the ebb and flow of life 
So much lies beyond my power
I’m left-desperate and lost
Just surviving hour by hour
But the sweet reminders come 
that my Lord is far above
all my fears; and he is waiting for me now

	Today I choose to cling to Him
	The One who loves Me
	Today I choose to praise my Lord
	whose Blood’s released Me 
	Not running from the past, with all its pain
	Not running toward the future, with its 
	gains
	Today I choose to love and praise my Lord!

2. In my fellowship with Him
How He shines on what’s within
I’m a-failure with no end
Yet the blood fails not to cleanse
Satan tries make me doubt
Paralyze my growth in life
Yet his schemes have no success on me because

and my love for it remains
The Lord-draws me near to Him
Gently touching what I grip
Though I fail, He never will
He is faithful and I still
Put my trust in Him to carry me today
