Growing up in a classical music family, Erlend Bilsbak aka Ars Dada is an artist with one leg firmly planted in the world of underground electronic music and the other in the world of art music. The result is an artist never content with staying within the framework of any one genre but thrives in the spaces between. This makes the music of Ars Dada an eclectic mix of classical music, jazz, hardcore, metal, jungle, IDM, ambient and any other musical expression that catches his fancy. Ars Dada has been a frequent name on lineups of raves and festivals around Europe and beyond, but has also delved into projects composing commissioned works for dance performances and film.

As a native of Norway , and living in the arctic town of Bodø, with its endless summerdays but yet punishing, long winters, Ars Dada's music if often coloured by a dark undercurrent that runs through it, always lurking just beneath the surface.

An invasion of breaks, melodic flights and heavy thundering kicks... Here is the recipe for the M.E.R.S musical project. Somewhere between IDM and Breakcore, while flirting with Techno, Electronica, Hardcore or Jungle styles, M.E.R.S never stops making you travel in an universe in perpetual motion. Having been rocked for a long time by the Warp, Planet µ, Ninja Tunes, Peace Off or Kompakt and Inifiné labels, it's from these noble influences that he keeps on evolving towards music production. Artisan of the Belgian IDM scene, he produces songs for excellent labels such as Kaometry or Bankizz while not denying his roots between the Puzzling label, the Digital and the unique rabbit sauce meatballs from Liège.
