The second collaboration between Murder Channel and "Q Hayashida" is a perfect fusion of music and illustration!

Q Hayashida is the author of the manga "DOROHEDORO" (to be animated by Netflix in 2020). We did our first collaboration in 2020.It was supported by fans of various subcultures, especially music and manga.

This time, we aimed for an even deeper fusion of illustration and music and enlisted the participation of a wonderful group of musicians.

The set includes a hoodie and poster with a special illustration by Q Hayashida, and a compilation (DL code) of music based on the inspiration from the illustration.

The hoodie features an illustration by Q Hayashida and the Murder Channel logo. The posters are based on illustrations that the artists actually saw.
All of the compilation contain songs that were created based on the illustrations. This compilation will never be streamed or sold digitally in the future. It will only be available on this set.

2methyl's first full length album is both a feast for the dancefloor and an example of creativity. Following the "Orb" EP, "Layer 8" is a hard, fast album of futuristic dark drum'n'bass. But it is also an example of how to bring this genre forward while staying true to its energy. Very complex and detailed, the nine tracks of this album play with the rules of modern day's drum'n'bass and burst out of their restraints, resulting in an album whose horizon is beyond the dancefloor and which impresses by its magnitude and originality. PRSPCT RVLT’s 12th release is a sonic statement of intent. Politically charged, high­octane punk­themed drum and bass music created by the collective power­house that is Gore Tech and End.User. This EP cold­welds the rough edges of darkened Drum & Bass and Jungle together with total disregard for the rules. Born from End.User’s legendary technical and jarring drum­work and processing combined with Gore Tech’s driving machine­like sonic grooves. Bolstered by the allied forces of UK based veterans Dolphin and The Teknoist whom teamed up to remix the track Tear Gas. Berlin based visual designer Ciners created a visual manifesto in the shape of a music video for the original mix of ‘Tear Gas’ featured on the B­Side to add a motion graphic element to release, along with Tom Hamel’s macabre style of illustration for the sleeve. Mastered by the French resistance of Stazma the Junglechrist in Lyon.

Last month I was stumbling through Yumuri canyon in the southeast of Cuba. Fucking beautiful nature they got there, gorgeous rock faces (cover) and the craziest colourful plants. When the trail I took ended I just undressed and swam further up in the Yumuri river. The water was drinkable. Imagine swimming in the middle of deserted nature and rainforest and just sipping right from where you swim in.

I dunno man, this place was sick, I hope you liked what was created out of the canyons inspiration.

Drum’n’bass stronghold end.user resurfaces with two years after he joined HANDS with the much-praised “Enter to Exit” album. 
This 7 track EP further refines said albums agenda of putting amens and breaks into a context of atmosphere and emotion - mood music, but also upfront tunes peering at the dance floors.

Immersive and melancholic is the backdrop of “Resurface”, with the stabs kicking off the good half hour release proper, and “A Bell in Hell” manages to increase the suspense by using a simple hook. “A Familiar Face” makes a distant ethno reference, before the 2methyl-collaboration “Rotation” cranks it up with somersault kicks. “Red Line” combines an eerie slasher hook with firm crossbreed kick drums, before “State of Process” and “Cracked Mirror” – a collab with newcomer TrashEater – explore the more “core” aspects of break. 

One cannot fail to notice that end.User brings a remarkable dexterity and passion to his music, so let’s just be thankful for his resurfacing!
