From the prolific cultural epicenter of Montréal, Marie has emerged as one of the foremost electronic artists in contemporary underground pop today. As a long-time member of Les Momies de Palerme, Hotel Monochrome, DKMD, and Essaie Pas, Marie has continued to hone her many talents in Montréal’s fervent experimental communities for much of her adult life. Davidson’s intimate solo work is embodied through a host of synthesizers and drum machines that coalesce in synchronized harmony, punctuated by Marie’s hypnotic vocal delivery, sung and spoken in both French and English. Here at Moontown we have been fans of Brisbanes Laura Hill (Scraps) since discovering her 7" Secret Paradise on Disembraining Machine back in 2012. From there we moved back and forth through her discography and even brought her to Canberra a few times ~ Needless to say we had become intrigued, obsessed and addicted to the mysterious world of SCRAPS.

TTNIK (pronounced Titanic) is her latest full length, its a hard one to pin down - Call it club music with luscious cosmic sunburn ~ Addictive, playful and sludgy synth pop that works just as well in a club setting as it does booming through the walls of a dilapidated weatherboard queenslander on a steamy afternoon.

It is an absolute pleasure and honour to be releasing SCRAPS latest album TTNIK through Moontown ~ We hope you enjoy just as much as we do.

Gel Set is the solo project from multimedia artist, Laura Callier. 

'Body Copy' is an album of psychedelic electro. Laura's softly spoken, trance like vocals are accompanied by experimental bedroom production which includes a number of film samples and sound effects.

Having been compared to Chris and Cosey - she is influenced by Karen Dalton's raw emotion, the abstract storytelling and dissonance of late Scott Walker, the synthesis of Mort Garson and Tangerine Dream and the heavy sounds of Hogg.

The record was born after a move from Chicago to LA to pursue sound design and post production. Callier came to find loneliness in this overpopulated city, searching for familiar faces at shows, stores, sidewalks. Strangers looked like variants of loved ones which helped Gel Set come to the realization that the world is full of body copies.
