Nobody knew too much about Krywald & Farrer when their email landed in our Gmail accounts late earlier this month. They’ve earned their stripes, yes. Their residencies at a number of London’s clubs tell us that story. But today’s debut tells us that they clearly just get a kick out of smushing genres together.

“The People’s Asafo” sees warm house textures flirt with an infusion of Ghanaian beatwork for eight minutes. A coaxing leg-shaker if there ever was one. It arrives on March 30th (via Silver Bear Recordings) and backed by B-side “He’s The Chief” which continues the afrocentric theme with gusto.

Simonetti’s first solo release since 2011 is a huge departure from his Italians-era work and that label’s sound in general. He's been DJing around the world for almost 10 years and his DJ sensibilities are showing. These tracks are club ready. 

Mike has a residency at Bossa Nova Civic Club and broke the tracks there to wide acclaim, so he decided to name the song after his favorite club.

We’re pleased to present with „Black Hole“ by meta.83 the work of a consequent defender of the art of analogue production. The soon available Track “Black Hole” by the Liebe*Detail Co-Founder jinxed us from the very first moment and it was clear to us, that we’d like to add a number of top-class Remixes beside the Original. For this we were able to win no one else then “the” Tobias and Borrowed Identity (after his recent release on Pastamusik “Crack in the Box EP”).

The powerful acid Bassline in the original version as well as in the Gravity Version creates from the very first moment a hypnotic undertow which seems to keep increasing throughout the track. It’s masterfully celebrated how to generate effective hits by carefully chosen elements and canny used effects. 
Tobias also devote the focus in his interpretation on the Acid aspect – but with more dynamics and with a higher beat frequency which will make every Techo-DJ's  heart beat faster. When carefully set tones are fading in and out this version gets a brilliant final touch.
The Remix of Borrowed Identity sounds in it’s structure more dirty and rough and though at the same time very fragile. 
A wonderful gem in pure culture drifting towards a black hole ….. perfect.

On this EP, four tracks that take different directions to reach the duo’s signature sound while expanding the horizons of their already impressive production abilities.

percussion, and sparse vocals give a distinctively human feel to the track’s mechanical vibe. With brilliant use of space and subtle melodic variations, this track is reminiscent both of cosmic music and of timeless film scores in the spirit of Ennio Morricone's work.

Hess Is More is a 7 person musician's collective based in New York and Copenhagen around musical mastermind Mikkel Hess. They released their Gomma debut EP last June. Strange, beautiful music from outta space. Balinese marimba's, African drums, spooky voices - great new music. 

Now here come the remixes. Dimitri from Paris did an effective, supersexy disco stomper. Keeping a lot from the original version. The crazy voices, the Punk Funk feel, the moody, new wave atmosphere. But now it's a club bomb. Then Williamsburg's hidden underground star Lorne Dune reworked the other song. In a more edgy, distorted way. Beautiful. Then you have a version by Munich's Pollyester. The former bass player of Munk now has gone solo. She does this kind of naive, early 80ies, powerdisco you could hear at clubs like the Loft or DJ Harvey playing. The EP also features a extra long version of the song Primate. Orgastic Hardcore Disco Rock.
