Did this just for fun , in between making tracks for the new album " Acquiesce ".
I wouldn't say i'm a massive fan of the show , but I always loved the theme tune , to the point where after hearing how diluted the new theme tune has become ( compared to the original ), I decided I'd have a go at it myself. 

Doctor Who

Not sure that it neatly fits into any one electronic sub-genre. It's very beat-driven, and far from being any kind of standard 4/4. It has undertones of dub, or something in a similar vein to The Specials "ghost town", but also has a lot of intricately programmed arpeggios and basslines that give it a tech feel also. It feels cinematic

This is a cover version of the amazing theme tune by John Barry, from "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".

No samples were used, and the track is registered on PRS with all relevant permissions respected. 

If I hadn't been a musician, the other thing I would've wanted to be was a Mechanic. I've always loved and been fascinated by this piece of music,  and think John Barry is a genius, so I wanted to take it apart, just to see what it was made of, and how it hung together, and try something a bit more contemporary. This is the result.

2ndMOUSE saved up for his first pocket radio, aged 10, and when he should have been fast asleep, he was under the covers listening to radio luxembourg. 
Kraftwerk "The Model" came on and planted a musical revelation in Mousies' juvenile ears.

If it hadn't been for this track, I may not be a musician now. Until I heard "The Model", I was not aware I had ears. It changed EVERYTHING. 

Huge respect to Kraftwerk, and I offer this Tribute as an homage to what I consider a work of unparalelled genius.
