Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Marvin Dwayne Coats, better known as Kal Gully, is an American rapper, record producer and actor with a penchant for writing infectious tunes and relatable narratives. Inspired by internationally acclaimed Artists like Rick Ross, Twista, Lil Wayne, 2Pac, Kanye West and Nas, Kal Gully’s music journey began at a tender age when he started beat boxing in high school. His love for the craft eventually sparked a burning passion in him to pursue music as a career later on in 2007, where he founded Hip Hop Group F.T. Being an avid storyteller, Kal Gully is greatly influenced by real life experiences, drawing inspiration for his music from personal experiences and hardships, allowing him to invoke strong emotions in people. Apart from invoking emotions, Kal Gully also seems to have a unique innate competency to ingeniously present music in multiple styles, all while maintaining a consistent brand. With big dreams and plenty of energy to spare, Kal Gully seeks to positively influence society with his music, and is well on his way to becoming one of the most phenomenal artists in our generation.
