Live Squad is an American hip-hop group from Queens, New York, active from 1988 to approximately 1995. They were known for their hardcore style and their notable collaborations with several rap figures of the time.

Stretch (Randy Walker)
Majesty (Christopher Walker)
DJ K-Low (Kevin Rhames)

In 1988, they debuted on a limited release by Percee P entitled "BQ In Full Effect," with the tracks "Troopin' It" and "We Ain't Havin' It."

In 1991, they worked with Digital Underground: Stretch made a guest appearance on "Family of the Underground" (Sons of the P album) and the group remixed their track "No Nose Job."

Thanks to Ed Lover of Yo!  MTV Raps, they signed to Tommy Boy Records in 1992, then released a double single, "Murderahh!/Heartless."

In 1993, they produced "Game of Survival"/"Pump for a Livin'" and made a promotional short film called "Game of Survival," which their record label deemed too violent, and which dropped them.

Stretch became a close friend of 2Pac, appearing on his early projects with Digital Underground, and appearing on several albums such as "2Pacalypse Now" and "Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z."

The fictional label Grand Imperial Thug Music, often credited for production on these albums, actually included 2Pac and Live Squad (including Stretch and Majesty).

Their collaboration with 2Pac ended after he distanced himself, particularly following tensions following a shooting in New York City in 1994. Stretch was present that day, but their friendship deteriorated when 2Pac believed that Stretch had continued to collaborate with the Notorious B.I.G. gang.

Tragically, Stretch was murdered in November 1995, a year after the shooting in New York City.

 Majesty continued his career through Grand Imperial Records (along with E-Moneybags), and in 2001 released a compilation album, Game of Survival, featuring previously unreleased material, such as the track "Daddy Bigtimers," as well as a DVD of the original short film.

Live Squad remains widely regarded as a little-known but essential chapter in '90s hip-hop, particularly due to its connection to 2Pac.
