Stereo-excerpt of a new piece that premiered at "Dunkle Zeiten" end of December 2014.

The title 109.47 degrees refers to the ideal tetrahedal angle in foams as described in Plateau’s laws. In this work, Electric Indigo creates complex sonic structures composed of very small acoustic entities. These structures live on friction, cohesion and constant movement. Sloterdijk’s “Spheres” trilogy was an important inspiration for the composition, especially the “foam” metaphor to describe and comprehend a multifocal society of individuals who live in an highly interdependent, globalized world.

Admas 'Kalatashew Waga' (Andras Fox Remix)[MPR007]

Israeli-born Berlin based producer and DJ Omer debuts his first release on Cocktail d'Amore with two offerings of celestial house. The title cut blends the sounds of the east with an immediately seductive atmosphere of bright melodies leaving the listener plenty of room to be transfixed through it's entirety. “Dust” dives deeper to reveal a more melancholic mood built on a symphony of lush pads and swirling metallic percussion. On remix duties are the wonderfully quirky Estonian duo Ajukaja & Andrevski who deliver an oddball re-imagining which sends the original into outer space as it gently builds to sparkling fervor only heard on the outskirts of galaxies. Rounding out the release is Man Power with an acid tinged burner which explodes into en excitement of live percussion and pads leaving any dance floor in complete ecstasy.

Our first podcast of the year comes from Jayda G, a DJ and producer who has impressed us with everything she has put her name to so far. Yet another example of the ever-flourishing music scene in Vancouver, BC, Jayda G first caught our attention early last year with a superb 68th edition of the Trushmix series. This hour plus session flipped through soulful disco, funk, house, R'n'B and more with undeniable swagger, dipping from one decade to another and suggested Jayda G to be a most-cultured digger. Splitting her time between Vancouver and Berlin has given Jayda the chance to show off these selecting skills in a few spots throughout Europe and we fully expect to see her on plenty more bills as 2016 takes shape.

Having partnered up with DJ Fett Burger in 2014 for a series of Vancouver events called Freakout Cult, last year saw Jayda G and the Sex Tags man expand their remit with the launch of a record label of the same name. The debut 12" release, NYC Party Track, came from the two co-founders offered ample proof that Jayda G was capable of channeling her musical inspirations into productions, not least on the title track that superbly sampled "Disco Nights" from G.Q. This record arrived after the pair had served notice of their clear studio chemistry on "Velvet Vortex" a track issued through Melbourne label Butter Sessions replete with Sleep D versions.

As she tells us in the below interview, Jayda G is sitting on a lot more music and some of it will be released on the upcoming second Freakout Cult 12" due this spring. She's also the first environmental toxicologist to provide a podcast for us! If Jayda G's Trushmix left you all warm and fuzzy you will love the selection she put together for Juno Plus, which commences with a snatch of Aquarian Foundation and then deftly eases up the temp over the course of a hour.

Raw M.T. graduates from Mörk to the Lobster Theremin main label with three thundering granite slabs of techno and house. 

The spirit of US house genres raises it's head once again, fuelled by a raw, scorched-earth production aesthetic coming from the deepest lair of the Italian producer. 

One Last Shot is a race-against-time, hyper-filtered acid techno epic. Thundering drum-work that rises from the ashes and and slams it's feet into the acid puddles of the bubbling 303. 

Sky makes it's appearance in it's Rough Mix form, coveting a much crunchier sound than the mysterious clean version and coming wrapped in analogue fuzz, with all arps set to kill and hats crushed into the ceiling. 

Lastly we get Richard's Revenge, a heaving, bleeping Chicago-meets-Detroit beatdown number that threads cosmic modular shots in a among through the drum-crushed haze. When those soaring strings hit, you know what's happening.
