This Sonic Loom episode is a presentation of the new album "Deeper in Darkness" from 3,14, a project created by Michael Fourlas, under which alias he started producing chill out music in 2011. This concept is an experimental, downtempo style with lots of doses of melancholy. The existence of glitch breaks and slinky grooves is smoothly surrounded by a unique atmosphere of psychedelic influences. The concept of 3,14 combines the dark overtone of a deep forest with the rusty feeling of the background of city lights. Welcome into a bright trip of sorrow, bizarre melodies and deep drones, dwelling through paths in a minimal field. This mix features his second solo album as 3,14, and a deep dive into darkness, enveloped in the dystopian feeling of the new era with sick grooves and experimental glitches, hooked by melancholic melodies and deep atmospheres. New directions and paths are forming deeper and deeper in darkness...

Mihalis Aikaterinis, Greek artist, has a natural ability to compose music as ethereal as deeply grounded. With roots in the gothic and cold wave realms and a genuine passion for the electronic scene, he weaves with verve and subtlety finely crafted rhythms and soft melodies. The wide soundscapes, floating atmospheres and resonant themes reveal profound emotions akin to melancholia and hope.
