Bei einem Waldspaziergang sah ich einen gefällten Baum.
Niedergestreckt und verletzt. Er wurde getrennt von Mutter Erde.

Ich betrachtete seinen großen alten Erdstammblock. 
Ein trauriges Überbleibsel eines mächtigen großen Baumes.
Frisches Hartz floss aus dem geschnittenen Stamm.
Da vernahm ich eine mahnende Stimme. 
Dies sind die Tropfen meines Herzens.

While walking in the forest I saw a felled tree.
Knocked down and injured. He became separated from Mother Earth.

I looked at his big old block of dirt.
A sad remnant of a mighty large tree.
Fresh Hartz flowed from the cut trunk.
Then I heard a warning voice.
These are the drops of my heart.

In search of comfort & escapism in the solitude of working night shifts, Little Music was created by Alex Reade in 2012 to explore ambient / electronic music, and captures the evolution of Alex's taste in ambient & post-rock music in the clear shift in sound from 2012's Distant Echoes, to 2013's A Song for the Search. 

All would be mostly quiet from there for Little Music, save for a few singles and 2016's The Descent EP. Alex's explorations in sound led to the creation and success of Project AER in 2020, and as ambient music became more and more prominent in the DNA of his music once again, that love of ambience and emotion in music delivered Alex back to Little Music, and the creation of new music in 2022 brought about a reboot of the project with the release of subtle reminders of a life - a collection of piano sketches recorded on August 12th, 2022 exploring nostalgia and reflection on a version of life gone by.

In 2023 Little Music prepares for the release of two full-length ambient projects. Written during writing sessions with a close friend, these albums serve as a reintroduction to Little Music and painting a picture of the vast & emotive musical journeys ahead for the project.

Obwohl ich etwas Klavierunterricht hatte komponiere ich autodidaktisch, völlig frei im Moment.  
Nicht immer sind es gefällige Harmonien. Versucht meine Musik einfach unvoreingenommen und völlig wertfrei von Euren Hörgewohnheiten zu hören.

Folgt gerne meiner Klangwelt. 
Freue mich über meinen Musik-Account auf einen regen, kreativen inspirierenden Gedankenaustausch.

Although I had some piano lessons, I compose self-taught, completely free at the moment.
