We have waited a long time for this debut. With the decoupling single “Behind the Curtain,” from the compilation series “Kaleidoskop,” the DJ and producer duo “Kotelett & Zadak” presents itself together with Bar25 Music. The title track “Behind the Curtain” captivates with its recurring melodic chords and succinct sub-basses. While the second track “Switch Off” builds up slowly with discreet vocal elements and then develops its driving character, “Harissa,” the final track, is trippy and contrasting in comparison. Up to the middle, “Harissa” presents itself in a twisted agility and is then intercepted by an intuitive clap.

Acid Pauli BLD Remixes A 

Acid Pauli’s second album 'BLD' dropped earlier this year to a rapturous reception. Martin Gretschmann’s trippy opus took in various stops around the musical spectrum, yet remained committed to quality dancefloor tracks that refuse to follow any particular rule book.

This collection of remixes of the album's A side (hence the name) only adds to that achievement - bringing yet more new flavours and takes from some of the most exciting names in the underground.

'Abbebe' gets a rework from Sainte Vie who brings his trademark ‘multicultural electro’ sound to the album's opener, and produces an ecstatic mid-paced groover for the heads.

Oceanvs Orientalis drops a similarly exciting rerub, finding new angles and dimensions to the track 'Baris'.

Tel Aviv’s Red Axes turn up the psychedelica for the duo’s amazing dissection of 'Ayam' - deep sounds immersed in acidic tones and tight-yet- wonky arrangements.

Lastly 'Majid' gets the treatment from label co- head Nico Stojan who produces a sleek and spacy remix that will delight the early morning ravers.

El Mundo - Tesejerague

The fourth instalment on DGTL Records is an EP by Satori, who delivers a record with three tracks that all bear his signature sound. This will be the first EP he releases after Maktub, his well-received album on Crosstown Rebels. Compared to the album, the EP is more dance floor orientated and thus right in time for the summer festival season.

Satori has been part of the DGTL family for a few years already and with this release his connection with the family will become even stronger. The sophisticated raciness of Dole & Kom is always a fascinating thing to witness. Their title ‘Samoja’ means serious business in terms of beats, bass and the resulting danceability. The playful instrumentations and afro vocal part of this title create a very musical counterpart. ‘Juniper’, their streamlined second track on this EP, follows a trajectory that clearly aims at a good time on the dancefloor while its mighty hypnotic potential remains hovering in the background like an otherworldly presence. Variation is always good and that's why there's two remixes, as well: Mollono.Bass with an energetic departure and Elfenberg with a tribalistic flow experience.
