Both armed with strong track records individually, contemporary garage and house heads may well already recognise their names: Dynascope broke through in 2019 and has fired off bassline shot after bassline shot with clarity and consistency. With a keen ear for that gritty UK-style aesthetic, he’s been a regular on esteemed labels such as Crucast, YoSH and ClubFriendly… Labels which Digital Koala has also frequented on the regular. 

Breaking through just a few years before Dynascope, Russian heavyweight Digital Koala boasts an equally decorated discography and shares a keen ear on the UK bass sound. So much so he regularly hosts his own online radio shows Ru-Cast where he explores British bass culture through a Russian perspective.

Dedicated ambassadors of the timeless house and garage sound, both rubbing shoulders on key labels in the movement, it was only a matter of time before the pair linked up and shared their sonic vision to create something special. ‘Touch The Sky’ is the result and NUVOLVE are proud to have captured this exclusive moment in time.

Straight-up jacking four-to-the-floor business with one leg in the timeless filtered house sound and another in the pumping, bass-fuelled energy of garage, ‘Touch The Sky’ has a vitality and energy that runs throughout the groove as their pair go toe-to-toe with their focus and signature elements.

Warm wavey synths, steam roller drums, soul-troubling bass purrs, intricate details on the fills and an urgent, empowering vocal sample; all the elements come together to create a universal fusion for the dancefloor that will sing to all corners; heavy enough for the bassline mob, warm and soulful enough for the sing-along crew and loaded with a lyrical message that any will relate to during these intense and turbulent times around the world… Legends never break, they just learn to fight. We’ll keep climbing up till we touch the sky.

Once again we return to the more abstract end of our sonic empire as we enter the realms of 3000 Deep, our way of exploring the more experimental edges of underground dance music. Today we are back with yet another corker as we are thrilled to welcome the wonderful sounds of Kid Kun to the table, with this hard hitting two-track display. Based in Ulm, Germany, this is definitely a name you are going to want to keep an eye on across the rest of 2022.

The EP opens up with ‘Sideways’, a marvellous dive into abstract rhythmic designs and sweeping, system-busting bass lines. The whole track is wrapped up in glistening arpeggios and warm, spacey pad textures, giving it a very classy feel throughout. On the flip, even more fun ensues as we find ourselves wedged between techno &amp; garage with the explosive Aspect remix, giving the track a brand new metallic feel, perfect for the late night raving crew.

Both the original and remix are set to cause some real dance floor damage and we couldn’t be happier to be housing them both here on 3000 Deep!
