As we continue to dive further and further into the future of garage music here at 3000 Deep, we are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming back the explosive sounds of both DJ Pencil & The Cut Up Boys, who deliver a scintillating 3-track delight, jam-packed with energetic creations and forward thinking rhythms to really showcase garage music in 2022.

We open up with ‘The Choir’ a fusion of choppy 2-step beats, eerie strings and bubbling organ chords for some really spicy original garage flavour, followed closely by the more stripped back melodic structure and 4x4 drum skips of ‘Gospel’, which focuses primarily on a pulsating moogy bassline. Finally, ‘Shine Bright’ delivers a powerful finale, stuffed to the brim with shimmering vocal processing and dreamy soundscapes to match a hard hitting harmonic combination. Beautiful stuff and a fine addition to the 3000 Deep catalogue.

DJ Pencil & The Cut Up Boys - Shine Bright

Once again we return to the more abstract end of our sonic empire as we enter the realms of 3000 Deep, our way of exploring the more experimental edges of underground dance music. Today we are back with yet another corker as we are thrilled to welcome the wonderful sounds of Kid Kun to the table, with this hard hitting two-track display. Based in Ulm, Germany, this is definitely a name you are going to want to keep an eye on across the rest of 2022.

The EP opens up with ‘Sideways’, a marvellous dive into abstract rhythmic designs and sweeping, system-busting bass lines. The whole track is wrapped up in glistening arpeggios and warm, spacey pad textures, giving it a very classy feel throughout. On the flip, even more fun ensues as we find ourselves wedged between techno &amp; garage with the explosive Aspect remix, giving the track a brand new metallic feel, perfect for the late night raving crew.

Both the original and remix are set to cause some real dance floor damage and we couldn’t be happier to be housing them both here on 3000 Deep!

Kid Kun - Sideways [Original Mix]

As we commence our campaign for 2023, the 3000 Deep catalogue is looking to expand into an even more spicy situation, kicking off our January with this wicked new single from Kid Kun. The energy levels are very high and we couldn’t be happier to be starting our year in this much style.

Taking the title ‘Did You Really’, this one is jam-packed with dance-floor driven goodness, combining a potent fusion of high energy drum work, smooth bass action and an overall skippy feel for a real garage-infused dance-floor zinger. The project also comes complete with a very tasty remix from Sempra, who sends the original composition to the moon with a jungle-infused masterclass! What a fantastic way to launch our January!

Kid Kun - Did You Really [Original Mix]

Once again we find ourselves diving into the more abstract realms of dance music, as we return to the Deep end of The 3000 Network. In doing so, we are thrilled to welcome back the explosive talents of Kid Kun, a regular feature on the 3000 Deep roster, who delivers a wicked new pair of originals alongside two hearty remixes to match!

The original single ‘Tell Me’ gives us a potent combination of grizzly bass crunches, floaty atmospheric pressure and chirpy melodic plucks, all wrapped up in an ethereal vocal line which gives it that final dash of euphoric spice. We then explore the fluttering arpeggios and spacey pads of ‘Down & Down’, a spacey sweet through otherworldly sound design, packed with electronic emotion!

From here, we jump into the Winter Games remix, giving it a much more dance floor influenced feel, working those shimmering chords and glistening vocals into a vibrant 2 stepper. Finally, MKII gives the original composition a ghostly overhaul, focussing on luscious pad backdrops and lofi drumwork, rounding off this collection in serious style!
