It’s hard to believe it’s been this long, but we are thrilled to be celebrating 5 full years of releasing music, with our first drop landing back in August of 2016. It’s been an incredible run of releases and what better way to celebrate than by revisiting some of the biggest and best to grace the label. We have therefore arranged a selection of our hardest hitting and most well known singles from over our 5 years of operating as a label and in doing so, revisit some of those original bassy flavours that we fell in love with right at the beginning of this UK Bass movement.

Being able to look back over our extensive catalogue and pick out some favourites wasn’t the easiest thing in the world, but we are sure this selection will take your rave to the next level as we celebrate the best of the extensive 3000 Bass release catalogue and look forward to the labels future!

We are thrilled to be returning to our beloved 3000 Deep channel for another high energy dosage of housey flavour, this time coming to us from Mav Brooks. This Houston based producer has been cooking up quite the storm with his emotive production style, which seemingly has no genre limitation whatsoever.

This tidy new creation takes the name ‘Vibe Check’ and plays the role of a minimal 4x4 spectacular, driven by its moogish bass tones, well rounded drum design and its, exciting pitch-bent vocal work. We couldn’t be happier to have him involved!

Mav Brooks - Vibe Check

Since the launch of their exciting new solo imprint, Hybrid Theory have been on somewhat of a tearout, smashing together the label’s first two official releases with a collection of absolute firecrackers. They are back to business straight away however as they ready up to unveil HT003, featuring another pair of original heaters.  

 

When discussing Hybrid Theory, the word consistency seems to pop up on a pretty regular basis and it is completely valid. Through a combination of their own releases and work behind the scenes at Four40 Records, the duo have been on an incredibly vibrant run.  

 

They continue that on this new release’s A-side, with a track entitled ‘Make It Drip’. This one is most certainly one for the ravers as the Hybrid Theory sound is extended to a more American-influenced take on UK bass music, with this one focussing on bouncy rolling kick drums and sweeping moogy sub tones, topped off with a selection of catchy vocal slices.  

 

The B-side for this one provides us with a fantastic box of energy, as ‘Rekki Dub’ is unleashed. This one takes a very different approach, honing in on a very up-to-date UK bassline sound. From the shuffling drum selections to the explosive synthesizer slaps of the lead bass instrument, this one is a serious party starter, make no mistake about that!
