Episode 8: The one where we almost didn't make it. And when I say "make it", I not only mean the deadline, but the remix, and to the school dance. Jynxy had his house in order, gets all the fine ladies, and sent us the vocal in plenty of time...which we sat on until the very last minute. And on the very last day, we mustered up the courage to ask the beautiful Wendy Peppercorn to the dance, and GUESS WHAT! She said no...so we stayed home and crushed out the remix within 24 hours.

It’s always a pleasure to be able to jump into a vibrant box of new school UKG and organ house tools and tricks, with this latest offering from Aaron Jackson providing us some seriously smooth summer flavours. Complete with an epic remix, this is one of the funnest projects we’ve had the pleasure of putting together so far this year.

The title track is jam packed with goodness, from melodic organ chord lines to bubbling vocal expressions and potent drum processing, which when smashed together results in a seriously bubbly original. On the flip we dive much more into the UKG realm, welcoming the one and only Soulecta inside for a fantastic rework of ‘With You’, unveiling rave-ready bass manoeuvres and choppy drum switches, injecting a whole new layer of energy. What a release this is!

The ride continues to roll on here at 3000 Deep, as we explore further into the explosive realms of underground dance music with another smokey two tracker. This time, we see Murko touch down in dizzying form, exploring his more experimental side with two sizzling original UKG bubblers. 

First up, we hear the encapsulating subby slinks of ‘Let Me’, a sultry sweep through crunchy sub textures and unique drum processing, which through its originality and grooving bass notation, sets the tone perfectly. On the flip to this, ‘Boom Ting’ provides an amped up alternative, focussing heavily on hard hitting sub melodies and sharpened drum slaps, giving us a nicely balanced pairing to enjoy!
