I do not condone the use of illegal substances however-

if you do live in a place where you can legally consume mescaline and you decide to do so i suggest that you do not source your mescaline from the Lophophora Williamsi or "Peote" cactus as this cactus is extremely endangered and some varieties are entirely extinct in the wild because its been poached so much for its alkaloid content. on top of that the cactus takes 10-30 years in the wild to reach maturity so the population just cant keep up. there are plenty of other cactus to source your mescaline from most notably the San Pedro cactus. additionally if you do live in a place where you can legally grow Lophophora Williamsi maybe consider growing one as a house plant to help keep its population alive.
