A girl-boy electro-pop duo, that writes, records and produces their music from a bedroom in Perth, Western Australia. 

Producer, Danny K and vocalist, Jay LeKat, began creating their ‘dream-filled’ synth-pop in 2013. Soon  after  their  first  release, Amazon  (March  2013),  GRRL  PAL  began  playing  live  shows, supporting the likes of Rüfüs, The Jungle Giants, Willow Beats, Clubfeet and Miami Horror as well as joining San Cisco on tour.

Amazon also sparked international interest and blog love, resulting in the duo flying to America to live  and  work  with  acclaimed  producer,  Parker  Ighile,  for  two  months.
The  duo  have  been recognised  as  up-and-comers  by  the  likes  of  FBI  Radio  (Independent  Feature  Artist),  Buzzfeed (Best New Songs of 2015 So Far), and countless fans with over 300,000 plays on Soundcloud and 160,000 on Spotify.

While  GRRL  PAL  are  new  on  the  scene,  they  have  definitely  made  themselves  known.  The  pair have booked at BIGSOUND Brisbane and Listen Out Perth this year and have previously played at Hyperfest,  opened  Perth’s  Colab  Festival  as  well  as  recently  making  their  eastern  state  debut  in Melbourne and Sydney. 
The pairs ambition, vowing to release a new track every month of 2015, has undoubtedly paid off, with Paradise reaching the #2 spot on Hypemachine following impressive heavyweights Kanye West, Rihanna and Paul McCartney and with 6 out of the 8 tracks released making it onto the Triple J airwaves.

Danny  K’s  multidimensional  soundscape,  coupled  with  Jay  LeKat’s  hypnotically  ethereal  vocals presents  a  fresh  new  addition  to  the  blossoming  Australian  electronic  music  family.  
Their  latest release,  ’Kwler  Than  U’  provides  listeners  with  an  exclusive  insight  into  GRRL  PAL’s  much anticipated  second  EP  and  a  simultaneous  glimpse  of  where  the  band  may  be  headed  both musically   and   professionally.   The   band’s   copious   newcomer   achievements   instil   massive expectations  regarding  the  releases  that  are  still  to  come.  Despite  major  hype  and  success surrounding Paradise and Dare, GRRL PAL are ready to take the next step as artists and aim to deliver big things with their next EP.

This latest single from Jakarta-based Indonesian anthemic indie-rock band lightcraft, "Run Away" represents the quintet's commitment to continuously evolve as a unit; showcasing their new direction yet still possessing the band's trademark sound.

Produced by and co-performed with Singaporean producer DSML, "Run Away” describes the feeling of wanting to break free from the mundanity of life; to achieve something greater by having the courage to make a change. It was also written with the pandemic in mind as we all yearn to move on past this terrible period.

The track is an international collaborative effort between lightcraft and DSML, making it a bilateral collaboration that showcases lightcraft’s efforts to uphold their ideology in terms of uniting people from all walks of life.
