Al Bradley (3am Recordings/Bass Clef Music) - "A Nod To..." Series of label & artist mixes

One of the labels which, for me, has brought out some of the best trippy/leftfield club vinyl in recent years is Metroline Limited, whose output straddles percussive deepness through to tripped-out minimal influences, but always with a solid club vibe & hints of weirdness on some of the cuts, which is always fine with me. Definitely aimed at the later part of the night, this mix showcases some of my favourites from the vinyl releases I have on this fine label. Hope you dig it :)

Al Bradley (3am Recordings) - A Nod to Metroline Limited - 30.03.22

An artist whose music has really been interesting, deep & also really stripped back is 1977 - I know almost nothing about this artist, but have all the 12"s he/she/they have featured on, including most of which seem to be on 1977's own label, For Those That Know. It's deep, leftfield, stripped back & sometimes very sparse, but there's something about 1977's work that just gets me hooked right in. If you want a very deep, moody, spacey afterhours mix, this may well be for you!

Al Bradley (3am Recordings)- A Nod to 1977 - 26.04.2022

My first "Nod to...." mix of 2023 is one I wanted to do last year, but just never got around to recording it for one reason or another, so as I had some time today, I've put together a mix featuring vinyl releases courtesy of the always-excellent @ion-ludwig - I've been buying Ion's stuff for ages now & the unpredictability is what I really love - totally leftfield oddness, chunky deep grooves, bleepy club cuts - you can essentially expect anything when you pick up one of his 12"s. I hope this mix showcases his quality, if you don't already know his work, these are taken from my favourite releases of his, so get stuck in & enjoy the vibes. As usual, not everything is perfect here, but it's recorded with two decks, a 2-channel rotary mixer & no effects to mask anything, so any slight adjustments are left in for human realness :)

Al Bradley (3am Recordings) - A Nod to Ion Ludwig - 17.01.23

Of the artists who inspired the launch of 3am Recordings, Miles Hollway & Elliot Eastwick are probably those who are at the top of the chart; initially producing as the superb Salt City Orchestra with Si Brad, then latterly as Reset, with Merlin, providing yet more absolutely outstanding deep vibes. I've already recorded 'A Nod to Salt City Orchestra', so felt it was time to do 'A Nod To Reset', as their tracks remain regular features in my sets to this day. Those familiar with their vinyl will understand the reason behind the artwork used for this mix.... Al Bradley (3am Recordings / Precinct) A Nod To Edmondson - 02.06.24

Charles Webster has provided an endless supply of exquisite deepness for more than two decades now, in his own name and various guises, including Love From San Francisco, Presence, DJ Profile & Furry Phreaks. His influence on me has been massive, his work featuring in my sets pretty much constantly for years on end. This is a 2 + half hour vinyl mix of his work in all the above guises, both original tracks & remixes by him, showcasing just why he remains as one of the finest purveyors of all things deep. Enjoy!
