Sarah van Sonsbeeck | Triple EP and Silkscreen | Side A

I consider this track (made in 2019) to be my first truly successful - and authentic sounding - "UKG" style track, but as ever true to my own "Deliberately Diff'rent" remit I wasn't interested in it sounding like anyone else and wanted to expand the musical possibilites.

That started with me using my own bespoke "kit" of self-recorded vocal sounds dropped into the arrangements throughout (all my own copyright of course, no sampled identikit "Garage Divas" here), along with me doing some human beatboxing, which was actually recorded years ago into my little clamshell Motorola mobile 'phone, hence the very lofi sound.

You'll also note the other do-re-mi "vocal" sounds, which I sampled from a kid's toy found in a charity shop!

As for the main theme, it always mystified me that nobody had mashed up Acid House and Garage before, so this left the way wide open for lil' ol' me to do it, in effect inventing a brand new genre - Acid Garage!

As always, everything was carefully assembled, arranged and produced in Fruity Loops.

Enjoy this new sound world, because after all isn't this exactly what electronic music should be all about; creating things you've never heard before.

I've been using that artist name *for at least 20 years*, and that's all I'll say on the matter.

DELIBERATELY DIFF'RENT DANCE MUSIC: a moniker and a manifesto since day one and still continues to be so. 

Not only do I sit outside of genres I strive to actively create new ones all the time - and then move on!

ABOUT ME...

I chose the name 3DM because it gives me the freedom not to conform to any specific styles or genres as well as room to experiment and try out new and different ideas. Of course as with all experiments some are better than others, but hopefully you'll like most of them!

As such it's my 'mission' to never just become entrenched in one genre, as electronic and electro acoustic music offer unlimited possibilities, so why tie yourself down?

At this stage I should point out I am available for production, remixing and remastering work!

Don't be offended if I don't reply/chat to all of you, as I'm busy living my life outside of "Cyberland" too, although that doesn't mean I'm not paying attention!
