Realize the Melodize: Beartrax's explorative new label returns for its first foray into 2021 with rising Spanish talent Univac. 

Spotted by Beartrax through his release on David Vunk’s Moustache Records, he knew Univac’s cold but melodic style would be the perfect fit for the label. Both written on Univac’s Moog Rogue, these two crisp originals (amplified by incredible remixes from none other than Extrawelt and John Tejada) prove it…

‘Mandelbrot Set’ takes the lead with confidence. Upbeat, sinister and tense, it zooms right in on the details as sci-fi flurries glitch and spasm over the neck-snapping breaks. Extrawelt is a great choice for remixer as he loosens the belt and brings in layer upon layer of flabby bass that brings a whole new level of funk to Univac’s numerical complexities.

‘Polar’ is premium electro best served cold. Pneumatic beats, steam roller bass and cascades of acidic layers, it’s every bit as icy as its name suggests. Finally, Tejada throws a few bugs in our bassbins with his own jazzy, freeform take on ‘Polar’. Spacious, swinging and powered by breaks that sing from the good book of Photek, it’s the sweet glacier cherry on a deliciously glacial cake.

This compilation has a serious lineup of sleeper hits ranging from cosmic melodic melancholic, extraterrestrial funk, to cavernous repetitions straight from the mothership… The sound is dark with chromed-out overtones, tailored to take the listener on nightly escapades in a dark neon-lit digital dystopia. Knife presenta Osvaldas Bertašius aka Egzotikka, nacido en Lithuania, ahora basado en Londres. 
Durante 4 años se ha estado introduciendo en los sintetizadores analógicos y las cajas de ritmos. También ha estado coleccionando discos de vinilos y cassettes. Corrientes como el electronic body music y el wave son las principales fuentes de inspiración para sus producciones. Por el momento, Egzotikka está lanzando activamente sus pistas en varias etiquetas. Maneja la etiqueta de cassettes y digital llamada META MOTO. También forma parte de un proyecto de jazz llamado Lloomkk como bajista. Actualmente, Egzotikka está trabajando en un álbum ep en solitario.

Egzotikka real name is Osvaldas Bertašius. Born in Lithuania, now based in London. For 4 years he's been introducing on analog synthesizers and drum machines. He also has been collecting vinyl and tape records. Currents such as electronic body music and wave are the main sources of inspiration for his productions. At the moment Egzotikka is actively releasing his tracks on various labels. He manages tape and digital label called META MOTO. He is also playing in jazz project called Lloomkk as a bass guitar player. Currently, Egzotikka is working on a solo ep album.

"Sheepray" is the pseudonym of Nikita Bondarenko, a musician and producer from Russia. Under the Sheepray alias, Nikita has releases on labels as: Raw Union, Paradiso, Soviett, Raw Russia and on the Hilltown Disco imprint. Nikita has released alongside good friend, Larionov and has featured on our Angel Series and their vinyl release for HIL008.

Sheepray is just one of three aliases alongside Kuzina and Supercult. "Kuzina" specialises in synth-pop, with their most recent vinyl dropping on Detriti Records. "Supercult" delves into a crazy mix of freejazz, noise and post-punk.
