“Depuis quelques temps l’équipe de Metaphore Collectif réfléchit à une façon de garder une trace de son histoire, de l’ancrer dans le temps. La crise sanitaire a précipité les choses lorsque, suite à une fermeture forcée, un grand appel à l’aide a été lancé pour sauver le Meta, leur lieu associatif, bastion de la fête libre à Marseille. Un appel auprès des membres de l’association, mais aussi auprès des artistes passés par la case Meta. La liste était longue, et ils ont quasiment tous répondus présents !
C’est ainsi qu’est né la compilation de 64 titres intitulée «Ici danse le peuple oublié».

The dance floor is now a barbed wire enclosure, strewn with broken glass. Bully boy bailiffs beat their baseball bats in a corporate ‘4 on the floor.’ Bastard slave-dog cops sniff the backsides of their masters. Deference is a long established disease. Revellers bicker as to which of their leaders is best qualified to torture them. Language has failed - reduced to “diss” and “cuss.” Snowflake supremacists cower in a corner clutching at their victimhood. Sink the Mayflower. Time for a scum clearance. From beyond the marketplace, an Alien militia emerges to guide those with bloodied feet, yet still with resolve, to a clearing where they can once again imagine, create and experiment.  

The sound of DSPSSSSD is like finding an old Fisher-Price toy in a plastic tesco bag, abandoned in a rotting shed at the bottom of the garden - corroded copper contacts - ‘90s batteries still leaking sticky acid - then plugging it in to a dub sound system and subjecting it to sonic abuse. It is a deliberate attempt to manifest Black Noise as a physical entity.
