Syncia kicks off the brand new Release LDN label with a super solid new EP of club ready techno. He is a number 1 techno artist on digital download sites who has played across the UK's finest venues and always brings a weighty groove to his work. Release LDN is the label arm of the essential global venue Studio 338 and promises to bring some of the finest industry names across its future catalogue. 

The opener is a throbbing track with tribal overtones and a chanting vocal that will lock in the crowd as the tension grows. It is pure dance floor fire, while Bad Boy Sound brings different influences - jungle effects, thudding kicks and wild synths and vocals that play with breakdowns and filters to really cook up a dance floor storm. 

I'm About To Go shows another look with a 140 bpm low end, heft sub bass and pitched up vocals that will get huge reactions. The edgy synths and twisted bass make it a full flavour banger. Last of all is The One, a well swung and heft cut with fat drums and fizzing synth energy that fires the synapses. 

This is a standout first EP from this label which already sounds like it will be essential going forwards.

Gadi Mitrani is a highly respected and beloved figure in Turkey's electronic music scene. For over two decades, he has been a visionary producer, DJ, label owner and remixer who is a mainstay on plenty of vital labels from Love&Above to Sudbeat.

Luminous kicks off with soft rolling drums and candle lit melodies flickering over the beats. Organic percussion and well treated strings also get smeared next to plunging minor chords. It's a beautiful and tender place to be. Tempo Addict then picks up the pace with a more direct but still deep groove embellished with vocal fragments, soulful chords and percussion. It's one to carry you away into the night.

Two years on since his latest incursion on Stil vor Talent with 'The Pictures', Switzerland-based producer Kellerkind turns in his newest four-tracker, 'Forest Mystery'. Delving in his natural inclination towards mystique-imbued tribal sounds, this new effort packs a serious Afro-futuristic kind of punch, laced with a powerhouse hi-tech feel bound to cut a path of devastation across the dance floors. Fully designed and kitted out to meet the requirements of extensive DJ use, this new package lets its whirlwind of polyrhythmic boogie and cosmic groove do the talk as Kellerkind ushers us in a blazing furnace of sorts.

Where the title-track 'Forest Mystery' flexes a bouncy swagger flush with middle-eastern tropes - including some fiery darbukkah solos, and nicely complemented by classic piano house stabs, flamenco-informed clapping and a hi-intensity buildup to rev it all with irresistible club impact, 'Karinda' treats us to a further hypnotic sequence of stripped-back East Coast grooviness and dubbed-out sensuality, bridging the gap between loungey house and proper ritualistic music thanks to spellbinding shaman-like vocal samples out the foggiest jungle. 

On 'Mantra', a more aggro, industrial-flavoured verve echoes far and wide, ready to take on any sound system with both that typically intoxicating vox hoodoo wrapping itself around a thunderous techno backbone. Giving us a taste of eternity on the nostalgic closer 'Time', Kellerkind pulls out a massively emotional firework of Prophet-6-powered space dementia and intricate drum programming, laced with an unstoppable bass-driven landslide devouring everything in its wake, making clear 'Forest Mystery' dwells in the club and nowhere else. The Butler reinvention of Carl Cox's tune is an addictive remix that pays a respectable honor to the 90s sound of the original while still grooving with a modern twist. 'Cid Inc's Replug Records opens the 2019 summer season by welcoming Alex O'Rion to the label for his debut EP. As one of the Netherlands most highly regarded and sought after artists, the Nijkerk resident has found a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, where he has released three artist EPs since making his debut in January of 2018. Also a highly regarded DJ, Alex has programmed music for some of the world's most iconic clubs, namely Ministry Of Sound and Fabric. Now fresh off a Spring release for Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, the Dutch artist lands on Replug for his debut EP entitled 'Marathon'. 

Continuing what has been a remarkable year for Alex is the EP's opener and title selection 'Marathon'. Enticing from the start, it's perfectly sculpted beats are warm and powerful, anchoring what is a rippling, free flowing foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are blanketed with swirling atmospherics, ghostly vocal edits and fragmented melodies. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with hazy harmonic concepts and granular design uniting for an exhilarating apex, before ushering in a groovy drop and emotive finale. 

The journey continues with the driving vibes of 'Blaze'.
