As the Belgian imprint continued to grow and diversify its output 3rd Avenue was created to focus on the more traditional progressive house sounds which ultimately spawned Sound Avenue’s beginnings. The labels initial releases from Blusoul, Lautaro Varela, Matias Chilano and Progress Inn forged a strong blueprint which still holds true today. Now ten years since the labels inception 3rd Avenue has built a healthy artist roster which includes Nicolas Rada, Dmitry Molosh, Hot Tuneik, Eric Lune, Monojoke, Figueras, Subnode, La Vue, Beije, St.Ego and many more.  The label’s ‘We Are The Future’ compilation series has long been one of the best showcases of new and undiscovered artists. Released quarterly these exclusive collections are now revered industry wide for not only developing new talent but for featuring some of the freshest most cutting edge music around. 2024 holds even more promise for this flourishing imprint with a bevy of exciting releases and an ever expanding artist roster.

A child of the '90s and club kid of the naughties, Reuben Lowe began his DJ journey in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland, immersing himself in the city’s vibrant music scene at a young age.

Raised by a single mother who was an artist, Reuben’s early influences were shaped by an eclectic mix of music from the '60s and '70s - from Pink Floyd’s psychedelic rock to the soulful sounds of Paul Simon and Dire Straits. These formative influences led him to the local disco and house music scene, where he regularly soaked up live percussion at iconic venues like The Bongo Club, grounding his sound in rhythm and soulful groove.

In his early years, Reuben made a name for himself by hosting a series of successful club nights and becoming a regular presence behind the decks at prominent Scottish venues and overseas. 
But Reuben’s path to where he stands today has been marked by both triumph and hardship. Losing his mother as a teenager profoundly impacted him, and years of pouring his heart into DJing eventually led him to step away from the scene.

During this period of introspection, he explored music production as a path of self-discovery, channelling his experiences into a more profound creative process. Meditation and a new outlook on life shaped his sound, and Reuben now returns with a style that reflects a deeper, more immersive listening experience.

Reuben Lowe’s music embodies an energetic blend of progressive, melodic, and deep house, weaving together multicultural influences with emotive storytelling. His soundscapes are crafted to move dance floors and leave audiences feeling both deeply connected and uplifted. His productions draw on global influences and celebrate organic sounds, creating a unique sonic journey that touches both heart and soul.
