Madloch's 3rd Avenue imprint is thrilled to welcome back Jean Caillou for his latest release, the Agartha EP. Following up on last year's High Sands EP, this new offering continues to highlight Jean's talent for deep, mesmerizing soundscapes. Featuring the tracks Agartha, Barabar, and Highground, the EP delivers a journey through textured atmospheres, organic rhythms, and a signature deep house vibe.

Jean Caillou first emerged in 2016 from Switzerland's avant-garde electronic scene, quickly making his mark with releases on labels like Magician On Duty, RYNTH, and Underyourskin Records. His initial forays into the deep house genre captured attention for their depth and artistry. Jean's relationship with the Sound Avenue family began in 2019 with a remix of Joe Miller's The Days, winning over DJs and fans alike with its enchanting organic vibe. Since then, he has become one of the label's most prolific contributors, with four artist EPs and three remixes to his name.

Most recently, Jean released the End Of Time EP on Sound Avenue, which garnered widespread support and cemented his reputation as a leading light in the deep/organic house community. With the Agartha EP, Jean Caillou once again demonstrates why he remains such an integral part of the Sound Avenue and 3rd Avenue imprints.

Umannto - Signs and Wonders (Nick van Gils Remix) [3rd Avenue]

The latest release on Madloch's 3rd Avenue welcomes Fede Archdale back to the label with his "Intrigue EP." Fede, a familiar face on the label, made his debut with the "Three Of A Kind EP" in 2022 and has continued to release regularly since.

The title track is treated to a superb remix by Turkish producer Sinan Arsan, who makes his label debut after a series of successful releases on our Future Avenue sublabel. Another fantastic remix of the original comes from Henry Moss, marking his first appearance on the label.

The second original track, "Smoothy," also shines, with a remix from Argentina's Juan Barrera, whose work has graced labels like Mango Alley and Univack.

The latest release on Madloch's 3rd Avenue welcomes Luca Reyes from Argentina for his label debut with the Epuyen EP. A four-track journey through deep and organic sounds, the release also features Yehuin, Molle, and Cardiel.

Influenced by a wide range of musical styles, Luca developed his artistry by mastering instruments such as guitar, bass, and drums. His journey as a DJ began in 2014, while his first steps as a producer came in 2023 through a collaborative project with friends. 2024 marks a new chapter for the talented Argentine artist as he embarks on his solo career, focusing on Deep and Organic House. His debut release on SoukSonic, in collaboration with label founder Lost Desert, set the tone for his refined sonic vision. On stage, Luca has performed alongside key local artists, showcasing a groovier side of his sound, distinct from his studio productions.

Sebastian Blanco - Freeze [3rd Avenue]

Dutch artist Octabar takes charge of the 71st release on the label, and what a banger this is. With a subtle bassline and restrained melodic synths and effects, this progressive production works perfectly in deeper, building sets at the start of the evening, setting the right tone for the rest of the night. 'Fluid Freedom' is a track that undoubtedly will stay in our DJ bag for a long time to come.

Federico Epis is influenced by the electronic sounds of the '90s, which has evolved his passion into a profound career that has seen him featured on labels from Yoshitoshi to Reworck. This same energy is palpable in his debut Balance EP, a 4-track release that masterfully blends design with emotion.

On 'Restart’, he presents sturdy drums and moody bass that are highly hypnotizing. Gentle melodic keys swell in and out like fragile bubbles, intermittently giving way to a vocal soaked in reverb. The breakdown is classic prog: sweet keys morphing into a melodic change that is melancholic yet uplifting. This is a softer take on progressive trance for deeper dance floors.

'The Sun and You' showcases his flair for organic house with a playful edge. With its chugging drums and bass, the emphasis is on groove and rhythm. Riding that wave is a beautiful melodic sample that glides blissfully by itself. A vocal sample is introduced in the breakdown, slowly adding to a subtle build which explodes into a meditative second stanza.

The sea of reflecting sound on 'Timing' projects a feeling of tranquility. However, the strength is, once again, in the throb of the deep bass and the determined drum engine. Later on, a melody is introduced that sounds familiar yet is unique in its presentation. This is another mature outing that respects the listener.

The deep techno vibe of 'Rose' is delicious. The percussion is crisper, almost thicker, and totally enveloped by a dense blanket of soothing bass. Dubby elements and FX dance around as automated synths grow more elaborate. But it's the bread-and-butter breakdown that allows for the biggest moment on the EP: a swelling riser punctuated by a tidy drop—a return to main floor mechanics that is highly satisfying.

Returning to spearhead Meanwhile’s output as 2025 kicks into gear, the collaborative pairing of GMJ & Matter deliver “Telomeres” alongside a remix from Australian icons Kasey Taylor and Karl Pilbrow for their 2023 hit “EXT 135” to round out the package.

The Melbourne-based duo behind the Meanwhile imprint are widely recognised as responsible for helping shape the modern Progressive House scene. Pivotal in the development of the label’s development both as solo artists and with their combined output, their work on Meanwhile has seen the “Lost on Origin”, “Gauntlet” and “Eldarin” EPs all released over the label’s inaugural year (between April and August 2020), before “The Path / Perfect Storm” followed 6 months later. 18 months elapsed before “Ext 135 / Elemental / Time To Space” appeared at the end of 2022 with “Stellaris / Idritah” following a year later in December 2023.

Now as 2025 finds its feet, GMJ & Matter provide their fans with a seventh original release on their ever-evolving label. The powerful building blocks that shape “Telomeres” evolve easily from its rolling groove foundations and deep sub-bassline sequence. A muted arp comes to the fore in perfect synchronous cadence while the endless delays present in the analogue motif cascade across the stereo spectrum filling the sonic space. A new and dynamic arpeggio appears at the breakdown as its gradual open filter provides the weight and dancefloor gravitas to herald a drop into the third movement. The same sequence makes an appearance in the second half in combination with the other rhythmic and melodic characters, to devastating effect.

Vapour Recordings head honcho, Kasey Taylor needs little introduction to the Meanwhile cognoscenti. A bona fide electronic music legend, the Australian artist has been at the vanguard of the progressive scene since the mid-90s with a double century of credits on such esteemed imprints as Sudbeat Music, Afterglow and John Digweed’s Bedrock and a century on his own Vapour Recordings. New Zealander, Karl Pilbrow moved to his adopted Melbourne home in 2012 before a partnership with Kasey Taylor witnessed a score of production credits including 2020’s “Amber Skies” and 2023’s “Fairlight” on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat. A trio of original releases on Vapour followed, not least in July 2024’s “Sonorous / Alluvium / Inscape”. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the Kasey Taylor & Karl Pilbrow remix of “EXT 135” contains the deep bassline presence of the original while an unrelenting, rapid-fire groove creates a magical tension. Developing sonic intrigue, the melodic progression of the original’s breakdown is found wedded to the driving rhythm in majestic and spine-tingling fashion. Full of bassline intensity, familiar vocal cuts and melodic fragility are the perfect counterweight to the rhythmic heft.

Protecting their legacy with another silky-smooth offering, “Telomeres” sees GMJ & Matter at their creative best.
