The Turin-based producer Astronomy Domine's label OVUNQVE releases a compilation of 23 ambient, deep, dubby and hypnotic tracks. The Deepwater Compilation Vol. 3 includes tracks for example from Yuka, Shaded Explorer, Fabrizio Lapiana and Simone Gatto, and Monument is happy to preview exclusively Italian duo Primal Code's track Is Azure Down There.

The Deepwater Compilation Vol. 3 releases in digital format on 30th of April 2018.

German @IntimateSilence imprint releases a V/A including ambient cuts by Pär Grindvik, Głós, Kas:st, PVNV, Thomas Hessler and the label head Silent-One. Monument premieres the releases soothing closing track by @GlosOfficial. The Traces V/A is out on January 22nd.

MNMT Premiere: Glós – Silk (Figurine)

PH17 highlights the experimental and yet hidden underground-scene of Leipzig, the label’s homebase itself. Featuring eight artists from or with a strong connection to the city, "The Learning Group" shows a small glimpse of what's happening in the studios and living rooms of a place that just recently opened up it's dancefloors and venues for more adventures trips within electronic music. 

Besides PH17-member Hobor, all artist premiere on the label, expanding and continuing the label's sound between Ambient, twisted love songs, Free Jazz and experimental soundscapes, leaving behind the rhythmic Techno patterns of the label's early releases while still breathing club music's sonic signature.

SIREN's Moonbow celebrates all things piano with a drone-leaning contribution to the Concept in Practice series. After all, it is Piano Day.

"Started 4 years ago by German composer Nils Frahm, Piano Day falls on the 88th day of each year (this year it's March 29th) and many events and releases come together to celebrate the magic of this (conventionally) 88-key instrument. For a while I’ve been wanting to make a mix of ambient and drone music that is centered around sustained piano notes, and today felt like the perfect time to release it. Recently, meditation has been my lifeline whilst being essentially house bound for two months due to health reasons, and I owe so much to ambient music for being such an incredible tool for healing — so I hope this mix can also help others too.

Sonically, this mix is as much about the moments of silence as it is about the music itself, with each new track emerging from a mist left by the one before. I wanted to make a mix that honours the piano’s ability to beautifully bridge the gap between acoustic and electronic music." – Moonbow

Concept In Practice: Moonbow's 'Piano Drone' Mix

The ocean was a furious, dense black under the flickering stars which bounced prominently amidst the depths of the sky up above. The boat moved at a quick pace above the rolling tide, the wave drops beneath cast a shiver up the spine of each sailor on board. They knew that this might be the last voyage they ever made. In the distance they could faintly make out the shadows of the coastline but there was little to guide the way, let alone steer them from safety. Each time the waves crashed against the rickety old beast they began to fear of going overboard. It was enough to make you cry...

Lo Recordings are set to release a new compilation featuring a spectacular array of musicians and producers. "Spaciousness" is an ambient affair channeling the crossover between traditional musical concepts and electronic fusion. Andras, Private Agenda, India Jordan and many more all feature. However, one track which struck a chord was Antinote stalwart D.K's remix of Susumu Yokota.

3rd Project is a Techno DJ/Producer based in Pomona, California, hailing from a family of DJs. At the tender age of 7, he developed a taste for genres such as electro and brake beats. At the age of 14, his passion for electronic music was ignited after attending his first rave. Subsequently, he spent many of his teenage years raving and observing the changes that took place within the community and scene. In an effort to provide others with the same sense of escapism and feeling that he experienced, 3rd Project took to the stage to explore the boundaries of techno. His hard-driving grooves and hypnotic soundscapes come together to form a cohesive, vivid and unique experience that is sure to capture the essence of the perfect escape.
He has been collaborating with some of the most renowned promoters, such as Synthetik Minds, 6am Group and Dirty Epic. 3rd Project was in direct support of SHDW & Obscure Shape, Cooper Saver, Samantha Togni, Adriana Lopez and Santiago Salazar, as well as Kyle Geiger. In 2020, he established the boutique record label “UNRESPONSIVE WAKEFULNESS”, which is intended to preserve his past and present influences. The label encompasses genres such as high speed techno, lo-fi house and breakbeat, and also serves as a LIMITED clothing line. The first volume is set to release in 2023, featuring tracks from Dog on Acid from Sweden, Max Davison from New England and Cult Play from Omaha Nebraska. His self-titled EP is set to release in 2023, with a remix by Santiago Salazar from Los Angeles.
