Born in Springfield Mass, Lavish Lou’s impression on music comes mostly from his parents. He lived with his mother but regularly visited his dad on the weekends. At his mother’s he’d come home from basketball practice hearing Mary J Blige and/or Keyshia Cole blasted on the speakers while cleaning the house. His father was more into hip hop/rap listening to the likes of Big Pun, Biggie, Nas and more. This shaped him into what he calls a “Hybrid,” being able to combine his singing talents with his underrated rapping ability.
