No humorous quip this time. I'd like to invite you to reflect on change and the transitive nature of life.

That is what the Japanese phrase Mono No Aware means - the appreciation of impermanence. While I would never claim (unless otherwise noted) that I wrote a track with a specific theme in mind, I feel like that feeling carries through well here.

This track was supposed to be part of an album of similar(ish) music, but the rest of it was going at a glacial pace, this one had been ready for several months (I started it well over a year ago), and I hadn't made any releases yet this year (except for a remix for a contest I didn't end up placing in).

I'm also very proud of the cover art! It took a bit to get working (though, ironically, the base render was gave the least amount of trouble!), but it was absolutely well worth the effort! ^-^

The planet was a million miles away from everything he'd ever known, it was a distant beacon of hope which would offer new life after the apocalypse had passed. The end of planet earth was approaching fast and soon he would need to take it upon himself to disembark from the weird, abstract reality of the 21st century. Who knew what lay out there amidst the dense black galaxy and the flickering stars? Would it be better than here? Would there be others there? Was Znton the one... 

Boris Acket is set to release a new EP on the Amsterdam based collaborative project and record label De Lichting. Made up of a consortium of Yield Records, Native Response and Working Title the label has acted as a prominent showcase of leftfield dance and electronic music in the city and offers great promise. The new EP from Boris Acket is titled "Znton" and features a collection of thoughtful tech fused tracks built for the club.

Occasionally prodigal, but ever-prodigious, Elliot Thomas AKA Etbonz weaves an 80's, early 90’s sci-fi cinema sound into a total recall of scattered memories. Childhood play with Starcom and Gobots. Soaking in cult classics like Robocop, Predator, and Big Trouble in Little China on VHS. DJing in spacey laser-lit rooms draped with sound-dampening curtains. These are the Rockstar fueled productions that Etbonz’ midnight sessions have generated for “Beyond The Cosmic Blaze.” Rounding out this scientific experiment is Grenvision's Trent, who explores psychedelic yet euphoric sonics opening a vortex to the unknown in his rework of "Blue Drink." Together, they embark on a journey trailblazing through the cosmos as they christen our newly-active Bouquet. label with our first LP.
Other than that, let’s have the music do the editorializing—if you will. We are San Diego-based party throwers kicking off our new imprint as well-informed of the global scene as we can be. UK based Tecwaa background is in the early Yorkshire rave scene, which makes you understand his music on a deeper level. His tasteful turning of knobs on the Roland 303 takes you back to in time to an early morning somewhere round 1990 with a diesel generator pushed to the limit roaring somewhere in the background. But Tecwaa music is a lot more than a trip in time: the sound is modern and extremely well produced where the few but exquisite sounds hook in to each other naturally and creates a round solid groove. 
The sound varies from airy and light in ”Xentaeh” to warmer and heavier in the other track ”Ci”. What goes for the sound overall is the somewhat surprising elements in how the songs develop, both in rhythm and sound wise. Teecwa music bare traces of trance, rave, early techno and so on but you could call it ”uplifting, psychedelic leftfield electro” and this is his first release on Höga Nord Rekords.

The river was the only route out of the city. It stretched for miles and miles, ebbing and flowing with the breeze that carried it along. Dark green leaves and sprawling branches formed a canopy over the water, protecting this natural place from prying eyes. It felt peaceful, a place for escaping the stresses of city life. In fact, this river held many secrets, stories that would make your hair stand on end. Its beauty was simply a facade...

Next up on XXX, the Dutch label run by DJ and producr SHMLSS, is good friend and Bordello A Parigi alumni Stijn Sadée. After two contributions to earlier releases for the label, he's now set to release his first original EP on the label, which features a remix from Smala boss Manfredas that they locked in after the Lithuanian producer saw Stijn play live last year. The aesthetics of the label are down to Stijn's brother Thomas who worked closely with him to create something that fitted with the music and his influences.

Frédéric Faupin returns to Moon Beam Records under his Mr Fuzz alias with five funk- influenced cuts entitled ‘Briefcase’. Frédéric Faupin aka Mr Fuzz is influenced by the soul of the 70s: jazz, gospel, funk and global sounds. In 2002 he composed his first solo album entitled ‘Electro Twist’ under his alter ego Mr Fuzz and has since become one of the most prolific artists on SFP Records under the pseudonyms of Mr Fuzz, Jack In Da Box and Sofian Rouge. In 2019 he signed to Electropical Record and Moon Beam under his alias The Forsaken, where he charted in the top 100 House chart on Beatport and now returns to Moon Beam with the exciting ‘Briefcase’ release. 
Our pick up is ‘No one can fly like this’ which rounds off proceedings with low-slung drums, lightening synths and beautifully tranquil melodic notes.

It starts off with Robi Insinna’s version of Your Way by The Lunacy Of Flowers. The Lunacy Of Flowers is a one man post-industrial act from London with a huge body of unreleased material made from fake hallucinations mixed in Black and White.
He used an MS-20, Juno 106, Micro Korg, Epiphone Les Paul Junior, borrowed bass Guitar, SM58 microphone, All Drums Sequenced on FL4 and mixed on a home computer. Robi Insinna added and reworked the original version. The Dub version was done in a real style dub session using an analog mixer and external reverbs, effects and tape delays.
