Many Worlds 12"/DL [Permutation 01] PREMIERE

Jamie Paton makes music that could be described as “Leftfield techno” or “Slowmotion house”. “Disk Memories” is his second release on Höga Nord Rekords and Paton still work in the same spirit as on the previous HNR release from 2017.
“Disk Memories” is barren electronic music for the Brexit generation. Paton has established a dystopic electronic sound that aims straight at your frontal lobe, burns in your bones, and projects a lost Europe’s anxiety on the grey London skies.
The music breathes of the cold 1980’s, a time of crisis in England’s history and a vibe to be recognize in today’s society: right-wing winds once again blows hard over the British Isles and Jamie Paton’s music catches the insecurity the wind carries with it.

Worm In / Worm Out

PREMIERE | Russian Chandeliers - Worm In / Worm Out (MR TC Remix) [Samo Records] 2019

In this first days of 2019 we have the fantastic new track from Discos Capablanca's Golpe De Estado - 'Liquido'...
When we say 'new' this is a track which has existed in some shape or form for a decade, a production from Hugo Capablanca and Oklo Gabon was reportedly rejected from a label for being too weird.  A decade on Marc Piñol heard the track, was blown away by it and asked Hugo to remix it.
The result is a shonky New York influenced lo intensity houser chock full of live instrumentation.  Bongos, sax, flute and freejazz which would not sound out of place in a Kenny Dope or Louie Vega set, think Nu Yorcian Soul remade in the Catalan and you are somewhere near close, but not close enough. 
Do yourself a favour, hit play melt away.

PREMIERE | Golpe De Estado - Liquido (Marc Piñol Remix) [Discos Capablanca] 2019

In a post truth world with an emboldened far right, JD Twitch and JG Wilkes have decided to make a stand and have branched out with a new sub label from the mighty Optimo Trax, called AF Trax, an abreviation of Against Fascism Trax. 
Optimo have put together a manifesto which firmly nails their political leanings to the post. Challenging the idea that music and politics don't mix, they assert that if it can be used in music to tackle ignorance and to celebrate the struggles and marginalisation which led to dance music becoming such a thriving global scene, then dance music is overtly political after all. All profits generated by the label will be donated to Hope Not Hate, the UK based anti-racism organisation. 
One of the highlights from the debut EP on the label from Guy Veale AKA Logtoad is the quirky but deadly drum laden analogue zinger which is Ratchet Beat.  Beats, breaks and hi hats jot out a complex rhythmic journey before being punctuated by dirty acid bass leaving us in no doubt that the key battles fought against fascism will be on the dancefloor.

PREMIERE | Logtoad - Ratchet Beat [Against Fascism Trax] 2019

Kalahari Oyster Cult are shedding light on an old classic via a new series of reissues called Kalahari Oyster Tribe.  First up is the hyper obscure Le Batterie reissuing 'Let There Be Drums' and 'Shogun'. 
Both tracks on this EP have been no stranger to unofficial edits, Kalahari Oyster Tribe opt to give this classic EP the love in deserves drafting in the magnificently talented Benedikt Frey to give this 1983 Discogs rarity it's first official remix (along with Max Abysmal's equally brilliant remix).
Frey's mix certainly lets the drums do the talking with his trademark analogue thunderous bottom end while taking some of the toppier parts and bringing them into the forefront of the track, taking an all the best elements of the original while adding his own dark twist, a sound which he has cultivated over the years with releases and remixes on ESP Institute, Hivern Discs, Phantasy and LDDLM amongst others. Kalahari have proved themselves worthy diggers by unearthing this classic piece of French Electronica and they have been kind enough to get one of the most talented producers out there to polish it up and deliver it to you rougher than ever.

PREMIERE | La Batterie - Let There Be Drums (Benedikt Frey Remix) [Kalahari Oyster Cult] 2019

Two one-man bandsprojects meets together on the very first Global Warming various record : The cold-blooded Scottish sound-ingeneer Sordid Sound System and Spanish hedonist Sutja Gutierrez. Deeply rock-rooted and drug-infused, the lone ranger Sutja Gutierrez takes us to a dystopian horse ride into shady woods and grey plains, with ‘Everything Leads To An End’ a sensible journey blending goofy drums, creepy synths layers, heady weird vocals and binary guitars for a unique and mighty melancholic mood.  12inch out on may 31st on Global Warming Records.

PREMIERE | Sutja Gutiérrez - Everything Leads To An End [Global Warming] 2019

Komodo Kolektif make a welcome return with their new album “Sundada” and this time the motley quartet bring with them bass, bells and bucketloads of 303. The album's opening track “Disciple of the Drone” does exactly what its title suggests: it's an unholy mess of layered drones upon drones  sounding like Goliath has overdosed on steroids while playing bagpipes in an isolated village in Java where the villagers try to outplay him with increasingly loud gamelan, drums, chants, screams and a bassline that King Tubby would be proud of. The winner of the sound battle, however, is the Roland TB-303 which seems to appear out of nowhere, with no appareent reason other than to deal the decisive coup de grâce and end any arguments that may have been in progress to show that the acid has taken control and nothing is any more as it seems.

Parisian Versatile Records continues to release serie of dubs to Etienne Jaumet's - '8 Regards Obliques' LP which was launched exactly one year ago 1st November 2018.
After Dubs Vol. 1 where I:Cube and DJ Sotofett were the main protagonists, Versatile offering you Vol. 2 of this 7" serie with dub rework from Etienne Jaumet's himself and Belgian, Brussels hero, 50% of Front De Cadeaux - Maurizio Athome AKA DJ ATHOME, who took the original and turn it into slow paced analogue jam with a club vox which although distant is also soothing, like the spiraling disembodied spirit you can hear in the dark room. This track has Duke Ellington base although there is still a sense of menace deep down between the kick drums and the bass.
The dub is exactly the sort of track you want to hear on the radio before you go out,  as you climb into the centre of the dancefloor with your couple and will stay with you long after the last note plays out, much like the end credits on the soundtrack to a tense spy movie. PREMIERE #664 | Etienne Jaumet - Caravan (DJ ATHOME Dub) [Versatile] 2019

How does a sexist society work? -  as usual, as it always happens in sects and totalitarian states. The pyramidal structure, on top of which there is a more or less charismatic sociopath, directly “under” it is a narrow layer close to the Master, enjoying nothing and no one (except the Master) unlimited power over the “base” of the pyramid: that is, over the bulk that makes up the group monopolist. This is kind of "Cascading of subordination" and is reflected in group and individual psychism as fear and hatred. Also, in the ideology of sexism, sexual characteristics have a decisive influence on the abilities, intelligence, morality, behavioral characteristics and character traits of an individual human personality; this ideology also includes ideas about the initial division of people into a higher (men) and lower (women) group, of which the first are the subjects and creators of civilization and culture and are called to dominate the latter. This kind of society fated to be racist, sexist and intolerant. This kind of society is fated to hate, envy and fear. We don't want to live in this kind of society.
"Women's Answer To Men's Failure" it's a story about jewish and muslim in mourning women in Palestine/Israel unstoppable fighting together for peace and against men stupidity/violence provided by the Lebanese born, Toulouse based artist Arabian Panther at his new 4 Tracks EP "Heart Filled With Sand" EP via Lyon's Blue Night Jungle imprint.
Beefy track a quirky twisted melody into a straight up peak time stomper which shakes the ear drums, keeping a flava of vocals from a documentary called "Les Guerrières de la paix" and a bassline which rivals the theme from Jaws in terms of creating tension the orient synthlines come and cuts like a chainsaw through hot butter. Cosmic Monkey its Latvian DJ/Producer who under his another moniker NEI , shares proper Techno/Electro beats since 1998' and he is next up on Seven Sisters Records, a label focusing on showcasing the best of Latvian underground music.
With this ebullient "Funk You Up" EP he brings the combination of a few styles with radical effect. Nothing is standard about its sound from the heavy broken beats to the thick and complex production.
Darker than the darkness and with menacing undertones, Cosmic Monkey delivers this thumping "Got Your Back" mix which would work well even on the hells dancefloor bringing break beat drums, toms and flange ridden hi hats to the fore before breaking down into an ridden synth groove which brings the fire to the dancefloor. He did not sleep for several days, he was very tired but held well, his thoughts ran like a swarm of bees in making his head think that he was losing his mind. And today it was especially difficult - because today he had to make this decision. Critical decision.
"Kritische Entscheidung" is the next EP from Brasil born and Offenbach based artist Celestino on german Emerald & Doreen Recordings. Thick drum patterns are shot through with strobe as the titule track enters to the dark room soundspace.Samples mutter intent as grooves grind and twist their way into the late hours. Synth and bass lines constantly keep you in suspense, passing to each other leadership holding your mind in wait for something to happen.

When he came to his senses and opened his eyes from the excessive harsh light, for a long time he could not understand where he was. Everything around seemed somehow strange, the trees had strange shapes, the grass was some kind of unnaturally rusty red, the sky had a poisonous-violet hue, the sounds did not lag behind of that he saw, some kind of half-acid birdsinging , the rustle of grass was somehow metallic, and then he remembered where he was, and get  horrified - is this really true? and a gust of wind flying past “whispered” to him with a sort of destructively grating sound - “yes my friend, welcome to Sucksonia". 
German futuristic label Rat Life for its seventeenth reference invites  two EBM warriors from Leipzig - Westlake & Hayter with their debut EP "Sucksonia". Made in best traditions of EBM, acid and proto techno it will bring you to some not so special part of Germany.
