French Décalé records launching new sub-label Feng Shit Records. 
Born from eponymous LYL’s radioshow, this new imprint will highlight electronic and experimental music from contemporary artists. (Vs Décalé that focuses only on reissues). 
The launching release is a 14-track compilation on tape called "Castalia Drops". We took our project inspiration into Greek mythology: the water fountain of Castalia, frequented by the oracle Pythia of Delphi, were capable of inspiring poetic creation to those who drink its water or listen to its murmur.
In that context, Castalia Drops delivers a futuristic testament of club no-club music rooted in melancholia. A prediction of fourteen titles by warned visionaries (Epsilove, Christian Coiffure), freshly illuminated (OKO DJ, Dhakira, Explorations Silencieuses) from France, Switzerland and the super talented Israeli Tai Rona. It’s an ode to destiny oscillating from softening aural breezes (Eiger Drums Propaganda, Aloe, AM Khamsaa) to psychedelics rituals (Gavr, One Foot Step & Nitrate) and spiritual dance substrates (808Hz, Yolek, Antoine). 
The 4-sided insert contains also inspirational texts and poems provided by the artists themselves in their languages of preference like Romanche and Hungarian. 
The curation of the compilation has been done by Orsett & Fischer from Décalé, the mastering by Louis de La Gorce (from the Pilotwings) and the graphic design by the Swiss Martin Cramatte.

Munich-based platform Alternative Fakten are dedicated to putting the city's underground music and arts scene on the map, be that through club nights, live shows, panel talks, art exhibitions, or releases — like the one we've got for you right here. Like their first label outing, the second is another compilation celebrating artists within the city, though this time, they highlight a wealth of contemporary electronic producers who are operating in the spaces between the city's artworld, activist groups and club culture, including Fuel Moon, WLAN and label bosses Tom Zwotausend & Bartoszek.

The flowers hung out over the water, the riverbed a beautiful masquerade of bright beautiful colours which danced and glistened in the reflection of the pond. Boats moved slowly past, taking in the sights of the elegant gardens which drifted by. From time to time they could hear the echoes of birds in the trees which overlooked this special place in the outback of a country lost to the depths of time, Amuka was serene. 

Tai Rona appears on a new split compilation from Feng Shit, a sub label of Decale, designed to highlight electronic and experimental music from contemporary artists. The first release on the newly launched imprint also includes music from the likes of OKO Dj and Christian Coiffure. 

This track, called "Amuka",  by Tai Rona is a highlight.

‘A Snowstorm in The Tropics’ is Timothy J. Fairplay’s first album since 2017’s ‘Where Is The Champion?’ and the first release on his new label Dungeon Module. Made up partly of tracks popular in Timothy’s recent streamed live performances, but which have never seen full release, and completely new unheard material. Like much of Timothy’s work, it is a mix of Electro, proto-Techno, wave-y Italo and Cosmic Music recorded using only hardware from his studio in a warehouse somewhere in North London. The title track ‘A Snowstorm in The Tropics’ meanders through snow fog Berlin School melodies pinned down by a huge Dub Techno kick. ‘Fish Island Emotion’ is like a lost 80’s Italian House classic. ‘Ecstasy Nausea’ features a return to the deep wrong sample-rate voice Timothy used on the infamous ’Cleopatra Loves The Acid’.

Feral Colony is a new imprint dedicated to direct improvised approaches and spontaneity using minimal equipment. The first release is from Chris Mitchell, known for his work on Vanguard Sound, Anunnaki Cartel, Sistrum, Frigio, and Sons of Traders. Here Chris delivers an EP of thick drums with saturated tones and samples. On "Triumph" Chris weaves Afro-Caribbean chants with a growling bassline and synth. Heavy drums and intricate rhythms bring it all together for a slow-tempo stomper.

In all its ominous grace, the journey takes off with ‘CFU’. A kaleidoscope-esque acid ritual is guided by subtle yet uptempo kicks, lifting us into the first phase of the cleansing. Followed by ‘Xer’, where an ancient chant introduces the next dimension of consciousness-expansion. The progression of energy tells us that the higher powers have bigger plans for us - a phase that is entered on the B-side. ‘TV’ surges in tempo and raises blood pressure with an annihilating paradox of the calm and the chaotic. To celebrate its 2nd anniversary, Ola Radio is launching a series of three compilations, bringing together 43 artists with plural aesthetics, like Ola Radio’s musical selection.

« Ola Compile vol.1 - Bande passante » is the first in this three-part series. Its release is scheduled for January 14, 2021 (Ola Radio's anniversary).
The release inaugurates the meeting between several universes in a free creative space where downtempo, dub, techno, leftfield and ambient intersect to form a coherent and nuanced whole. This is the result of 14 artists of multiple influences, from Bordeaux and elsewhere, all driven by the same love and passion for music.

SIMPLE EXPOSITION are Insulaire and Blumm, two members of the long-standing Bordeaux-based French crew tplt, join forces on a new adventure, mixing their various influences to forge a new sound, hopefully crafted for the future. Away from the decks like all of us, they forcefully returned to the coziness of home studio and spent the never-to-be-talked-about-again-year brewing with care the material upon which they could one day return behind the controls of a sound system.
