FF001: Troubleshoot The Moon marks the debut release on Meanjin (Brisbane) based 'Foreign Frequencies', a label dedicated to highlighting versatile sounds from artists both close to home and afar.
The first release compiles a broad range of styles from within Australia and abroad. Bristol based Litherland opens up with a lush but equally hard hitting jungle mover, contrasting naturally between calming synths and heavy electro infused breaks. Boorloo (Perth) local sn33ze provides us with another breaky number, this time creating a more dreamy atmosphere with some masterfully chopped up vocals throughout its runtime. The VA takes a danceable turn on the third track courtesy of Leeds based Phasmid, with some UK inspired electro sure to get bodies moving once dance-floors fully open again.
Closing out the EP with two expertly crafted electro tunes is Arnaud Is Dancing from Nantes. "Unexpected Deception" encapsulates us with its catchy melody before upping the ante with a very melodic acid line. "Singing Birbies" is the hard hitting yet melancholic closer to the release, returning once again to the lush sounds that saw the VA open.
All profits from this release will be donated to Brisbane Youth Service, a local nonprofit organization supporting homeless and disadvantaged young people 12-25 years of age.

Some might argue that the present day has produced a new culture of inefficiency and burn-out – a world where greedy landlords reign supreme, where broken bureaucracy flourishes and where people have become slaves to the system. But all is not lost. Hope sits on the horizon, and Jon Chmielewski is exploring the possibilities. For the 12th release on Welsh imprint Haŵs, the undeniably genius producer presents an electro EP that seeks to communicate something far bigger than himself. 

On the B-side, ‘R U OK?’ dilutes rippling synth lines with a bulky bass and inquisitive melodies, purging itself of emotions like a late-night spent soul-searching.

D.Tiffany's Planet Euphorique has become somewhat a gravitational pull for the sonispheres hotbed of talent for the last few years, drumming up a tangible level of anticipation around each release. This time round it's Unknown Mobile, who has come fresh off the back of his well received yet uncharacteristically downtempo and left-field album on Pacific Rhythm. Perhaps unexpectedly, he dives back into darker and more club focused territories with appropriately named 'Mobile Sorcery', a murky, spellbinding five tracker and perhaps his most face-melting release to date. After announcing on Twitter that this would be his last release for a little while due to educational commitments, this is one to hold close.

Introducing the flip is "Heavenly Depression" which flaunts unconventional rhythmic themes whilst highlighting the power of melody. This cut is one which accurately depicts it’s title, pulling on the struggle of your emotions through an ever-progressing lead woven tightly over sweeping pads.
