After a Terminator-esque EP on Tripalium Corp and 2 apocalyptic concept albums on his own imprint Bella Ursa, Letherique dwelves deeper into the many intricacies of his inner fortress for Soil Records.
 
'Enter My Lair' is an ode to cinematic aesthetics. Whether it's with slomo doom techno or raw EBM, it recounts tales of a blood-drenched dungeons inhabited by evil spirits, over-the-top police chases, and epic battles from the Viking and Roman eras.

It will be released digitally on all platforms, but also an on custom-made cassette wrapped in a red zip bag.

On the road for a little longer than a year now, the cool Mexican label Kyma Komplex has been featuring some of the finest artists of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene plus some spot-on flirting with other genres such as House, Techno, and Trance. Sixtoagusto (SXDNS031), Diaz Tech (SXDNS089/FREEDL013), Mad Slow, Mverto Futura, Manu Barcelo (SXDNS344), Edd Brave (FREEDL033), Cali Burton, Seli (SXDNS360), Corresponsal, and Veltran (FREEDL050) are just a few of the names on board. 

For its next instalment, the rising imprint opens its doors one more time for the skilled Brazilian producer Lucas Novaes, who debuted on Kyma with a remix for Mad Slow’s “Detroit” released last year. For his forthcoming “Ganas” EP, the Paulista artist invited some interesting names for the remix duties: Ludmila Fuks (SXDNS361), Abby Knives (SXDNS299), Pvlomo (SXDNS098/FREEDL045), and Panko delivered shiny contributions to the EP.

Premiered here, the title track presents its credentials from the very beginning with its super fat bassline perfectly paired with rhythmic synth layers and stabs. The ominous vocal hooks, which cannot go unmentioned, deliver a stunning ghostly aura to the rich theme despite its minimalistic construction.

Following on from the last release Nabil Hayat returns with another EP titled Wave Shaping. This sees his approach to 4 new tracks that are slightly more edgier and incorporates a darker harder sound.

On point with the concept of this EP up first is the self titled track Wave Shaping which is deep, bass heavy and rich in texture with swirling sounds that move throughout the track. Short sharp percussion oscillates through untill the main melody enters and settles.
Followed by Mod which is an enchanting hypnotic late night groover that gets deep as the track progresses. With its loose drum programmed distorted kick drums, flanger based toms and resonated frequencies are sure to get you in the mood. Def is spirited towards peak time and sees the track rise and float through the early hours of the morning. With its high pitched modulated synths that morph along with the bell stab and metallic hi hats typical of any techno track. Lastly there is Static which incorporates pulsating basses a classic 909 drum machine workout which builds through with just the right kind of elements until the break down half way then takes the track and moves towards more centre focussed until it all opens up and again for a final time with elements blending out taking things to a close.

While drawing influences from his 90’s house heroes and indie disco contemporaries, in the studio, he never compromises to explore new boundaries by utilizing his own vocals and playing with unique song arrangements while exploring sounds across the downtempo stratosphere, from slow kaleidoscopic hypnotic dances to chugger-heavenly club heaters.

The very first label’s release belongs to Clouzer. After his woozy dark disco EP debut on NEIN records, Clouzer returns with LMNTL - a fine collection boasting 4 massive tracks tailored for the big room stage.
Listening to Clouzer’s cosmic textures, layered abstractions and futuristic soundscapes on LMNTL feels like connecting to an extraterrestrial world. The Berlin-based musician blends electro, broken beats and dirty bass lines, creating immersive and hypnotic environments for people to dwell in.
The EP also features a marvellous remix by Sestrica, one of the most vibrant and unique female live acts on the Breakbeat scene.

On ACEN048, Outsider makes her All Centre debut. Following standout appearances on four Pressure Dome compilations, the Derbyshire-based artist presents two forward-thinking, experimental club tracks.

Good Bone Structure opens with tense rolling snares and a shimmering pad as kick drums articulate the track’s broken rhythm. The arrangement builds to the introduction of a two note bassline which shifts and evolves into new and unpredictable mutations throughout the 7 minute track, underpinned by hard drums and embellished with ecstatic synth melodies.

Stick Shift opens with forceful four to the floor kicks and a dubbed-out, restless chord progression which darts around the percussion. The synth moves and grows, alternating with and reacting to the track’s ricocheting bassline, whilst syncopated claps keep the track’s compelling rhythms in check.

Good Bone Structure is available across all digital platforms on the 26th May.
