Ever since we first heard Ognen Zlatanov(a member of the Macedonian band Perija), we've been eager to collaborate with him. He graciously agreed to join us on this track, and he elevated it to new heights.

Before the current revolution of the Earth around the Sun comes to an end, the Mexican powerhouse Kyma Komplex brings to life another compilation: After "Varias Artistas", "Anthems Manifesto", and "Protesta", its previous VAs, it is now the time of "Vórtices" take over the stage with its 6-track parcel featuring only Guatemalan artists from different generations who delivered an insightful selection of cuts that combine a plural soundscape of influences. On board this true showcase of Latino talents: Milla Campollo, Mike Rowave, Casta, Jorge Galindo, Mverto Futura, and Márian. Premiered here, the latter’s contribution.

For her second appearance on Kyma, young and promising producer Márian pulled no punches and forged a theme that defines her sonority. Filled with melodic insertions and percussive boosters, “Bon Voyage” triggers a certain feeling of nostalgia. The reason? No idea. It simply opens the vault of good dance floor recollections even listening to it for the very first time. Time to dance to it and create perennial brand-new memories…

PREMIERE710 // Márian - Bon Voyage

NIKKNAME's focus when making music is to reflect the emotions he feels in response to his environment. He works across deep house, melancholic ambient and moody disco on labels like this one and Free ride Millenium and always evolves with each new outing. Now living in Vienna, he is a core part of the scene with his 80000 Radio show on Res Radio Vienna and has also been involved with some acclaimed art exhibitions in the city.

His return to Live At Robert Johnson kicks off with 'Wind & Fairies,' a moody five-minute synth suspense with sustained, foggy chords pierced only by twinkling arps and cautious strings that speak of heading off on an adventure into the unknown. The brilliant 'Rot' then layers up rugged and rumbling bass with bleeping synth sequences that make for a late-night trip through a deserted landscape. Last of all is the most direct and punchy cut 'Crossover'. It's a synth-laced disco and house fusion with crashing hits and smeared pads all journeying next to a searching cosmic lead.

NIKKNAME's Crossover EP lands on Live At Robert Johnson on December 13th 2024.
